If anyone from the Leesburg/Albany/Tifton area is planning on going and wants to caravan, get ahold of Tommiesue, LittleLadyRed or me, or just post on here and we will try to get back to you. We were planning on getting togather at the Crowbar tonight to make final arrangements but we pretty much have a game plan figured out and since no one else said they were coming to the Crowbar for sure, we are going to skip it. Posted: 3/14/2007 7:05:02 PM | thanks sobelle for getting back in touch sounds like you girl are traveling the closest way it probly will take u one and a half hrs to get here from tifton, burke's place is about 75 - 80 miles from hazlehurst aprox 2 hrs i wonder if it will be ok with POF is i post my phone no here ? any way i plan to ride my bike over to burke's friday and see if i can help him with any thing i could go back sat. in my truck with screen tents and tables chairs , any way i hope to meet youall here. it sounds exciting i have attended several bash different states even hosted 4 at my river house in grays landing and i do know its a lots of planning and work not to mention the $$$$ nite nite james -over-21

Donations for burgers and hotdogs isn't unheard of... after all, Burke is opening up his place, not renting a conference room in some snazzy motel! That's going above and beyond. i'm more than appreciative and I'm driving 2 and half hours for it!

I've heard they jump up in the air before you hit them, which means you get them with your bumper or grill ~ is this true? Will Bug & Tar Remover get that off my car? We can make gator shoes, snakeskin belts and armadillo shell purses! I didn't know this was a fashion trip too! It's almost like Sex in the City!
Except it's not... It's Sex in the Cotton Fields with Rednecks. Outstanding! Herb-Tree check doesn't know what she's missing ~ she clearly doesn't know anything about those "Wild Eyed Southern Boys." We'll send her a boll weevil and a stink bug to smoke...

I know this is a little off topic, but I had never seen an armadillo before moving to Texas. When I got out there, that's all I heard about, but the only ones I ever saw were dead. I don't know about the jumping up before getting hit, but they're definitely not too bright, judging by the number of them I saw as "road kill"! I didn't see a live one until I moved back to Georgia.
Now for OT...burke, I've already gotten an email from somebody who can't go Saturday but wants to know if this is going to be an annual thing. I told her it probably depended on how Saturday went, how well you survived! | |
