| Would a guy who contacts you after reading something you said in the forums here creep you out?

I've never had anyone freak out on me.
This site supposedly discourages 'chatting' in the forums, so if you really want to talk to someone it's technically not allowed in the forums, that just leaves emailing them.
I've sent an email to people in other countries (no chance of dating) just to let them know i liked what they said, or even I think they have a great nickname on the forums.

This is why the last 5 postings are placed in our profiles. Gives you a better idea of who someone is. Ive contacted people before regarding something they posted and vise versa. All those experiences have turned out well.
This IS a dating site. A bit off topic...the whole im here for friends. Hmmm Friends are people you know, trust and respect.

And I am always honored that they took the time to contact me.
Hey - they are reading what I am saying - so its not all lost -
Something is wrong with her - really - she is one out of so many-
I have met some great people here just by contacting them to
tell them I liked thier opinion on a topic - or they made me laugh
hysterically - or they have contacted me to tell me they got
a laugh out of something I said. Dont let it stop you.
And yeah - I stalk my favorite posters on here - especially when I need
to laugh - some of them are the best - thier humor just shines through -

Posted: 2/5/2007 7:30:17 AM | Most of all my email buddies I have met via the forums. Either myself or them would send an email just to say "I liked your post about xxxx" or something similar and it then turned into wonderful friendships.
What *I* would find creepy is someone who reads and booksmarks my posts and/or follows in around in the forums all the time and/or thinks I am somehow writing about them in the forums. That is a bit too creepy for me.
Big difference between the two.

Posted: 2/5/2007 7:42:56 AM | Deffinately not! These forums help us to get to know each other better. Open expression about all sorts of things and honest (I would hope) interaction. I would think that the only reason someone would get upset about such a thing, is if the subject matter was something they would rather hide.
I remember finding a site where you could enter a persons zipcode and find out if they have ever been a sex offender. So for fun I entered my friends zipcode. He got angry! Well red flags came up even though it showed no offences, of course. It was just a stupid gag site no doubt.
You did nothing wrong, I have had lots of men on here ask me about my conversations on these forums and as someone else said- as a result we formed great friendships.
If she doesn't want men to approach her about a subject matter she discussed on the forums then she shouldn't discuss it in my opinion.

I get messages all the time from people in the forums and have never even remotely considered they were stalking me.
