Posted: 3/13/2007 2:46:53 PM | Interesting subject and discussion here! I'm going to wade in with my 2 cents worth!
My verdict is out but I've had things happen to me that defy explanation. As a pre-teen Dark Shadows was all the rage and my friend Ginger and I decided to have a seance. We only had 2 of us so we drafted her little brother to join us. We went into the hallway of the house and closed all of the doors and used an ottoman as our "table."
Ginger's brother was eating an apple so we put it in the middle of the ottoman. We are "calling the spirits" and of course the open windows in the house make the doors rattle a bit, spooking us a little. Then here comes the topper! The apple her brother was eating slowly rises up off the ottoman, travels over to him and plops in his lap (no one was touching it at all!). We all ran out of their screaming and laughing. Still haven't figured that one out yet.
I've had my pocketbook that I slung over my shoulder lighten in weight as if someone had lifted it while I was leaving work (alone) and I turned around and no one was there, I've seen a boy and a golden retriever-type dog in shadow run through the foyer of my previous home and have smelled roses at odd times (supposedly a sign angels are around). It will be interesting to find out if these are just your mind playing tricks on you or what is actually going on - but in the meantime my verdict (and/or my mind) is open.
And about aliens - who knows. I mean after all they found drawings of helicopters and airplanes in Egyptian tombs recently and perhaps our ancient civilizations were way far more advanced that we are! Interesting stuff to study and explore! | |

Ok this is not fair for me to even post. I am a Christian and because of my beliefs I can not believe in either of these things. It's simple when you look at it this way.
Ok, I think I saw a ghost once. Turned out to be a sheet on the laundry line outside though. Saw a UFO once also. Turned out to be a Snickers Bar hanging from a string on the same clothes line.

I've stated my reasons earlier in this thread, and I'm curious about others' thinking on the subject (from the standpoint of Christian belief). Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you.

Posted: 3/17/2007 3:33:47 PM | well I guess you could say I believe in both. In 1967 my ex and myself was sitting on our porch. as we were looking at the stares we saw something in the skies. It wasn't a plane or a jet it made no sound it flew strate up then backwards strate down it when so many directions that it couldn't have been from here we watched it for about thirty min. then it went strate up and out of site. then in 1971 we were driving on a country road in stockbridge at night. a light in the sky was following us over the road about fifteen feet behind us. when we stopped it stopped. my ex got out of the car and walked back to where it had stopped before he got to where it was it went strate up and was gone.As for ghosts four years ago my granddoughter was very sick with RSV she was born on my sisters birthday who died twenty years ago. One night her brother saw a woman standing beside her baby bed. she reached down and touched my grandbaby. he said the woman was dark headed, short and was wearing a blue dress. after she touched my granddoughter she just vanished the women he said he saw looked just like my sister. the next day my doughter had to rush my granddoughter to the hospital she was very sick. I know the women that was with my grandought was my sister she came to make sure mu granddoughter was alright.

I personally have experienced different things, smells, hair standing on the back of my neck, hearing my name called when no one was there, different things. As far as aliens there has to be some other form of life out there. Our universe, and beyond, is too huge to not have any other life forms out there. | |

I have had a few weird experiences myself, so I know that there is something that I am not meant to dis-believe! If you have experienced a Ghost incounter in North Ga. Posted: 3/27/2007 11:55:41 AM | i believe in ghosts wholeheartedly, ive encountered quite a few in my grammas old house. things not where you put them seconds ago, seeing things move in front of your eyes, and you know your the only one around. the bed used to shake when noone was in it but me. there used to be this hole in the wall, and a light used to come on and you could see an eye looking thru the hole . but the strange thing is there wasnt any light fixtures in there and it was used for storage space. the strangest thing that happened to me was ... my uncle and i were in the kitchen i was washing dishes and he went to get a 2 liter soda from the fridge, he sat it on the counter and turned to get a glass when he went to reach for the soda it slide all the way down the counter and just hit the floor as soon as he went to pick it up the top came off but not a drop came out until he bent over and picked it up then it just sprayed him in the face, it was like someone holding a water hose to stop it from running then letting it go. i ran outside and didnt come back in for hours. ghosts can only harm you if you let them, but mainly a ghost will make you hurt yourself. i guess they get a good laugh at us sometimes, i guess the jokes on us. as far as aliens ill leave that to the x- files and movies. ive had my share of unexplainables so if i see one of those ill schit my pants and check my dam self into georgia regional!!!!!  | |

Posted: 5/13/2007 10:13:41 AM | I can say Iv seen a U.F.O.and know one can tell me different.My dad loves to say that it was probably sometime top secret that the U.S. is testing.But I really dont think what I saw could be.He also loves to throw in my face that the U.S.of A was flying the stealth fighters in the 1950s and the public knew nothing of them until the gulf war.But what I saw at the age of 14,was a ship,making no sound and there was know fire coming out of it,and it had lights all around it.And they were weird looking lights.It was about as big as a car.Like a ford taurus.And my brother was with me and he saw it as well.It was only about 50 yards up in the sky above us,like it was watching us jumping on or trampoline.Scared?Oh yea,We ran,and got or mom and went right back outside and it was gone.
As for ghost,Iv never seen one.But I do believe it to be possible. | |

I would get up to check it out, and noone was there. There was a story of a 8 year old boy that had died in that house. It was him running around. I couldnt stand the kid, cause he wqould always do that right after I lit up the bong I had, I would have to put it out, and hide it really wuck, only to find out Mommy wasnt home! Aftert all, it was her stash I had been smokin!  I quit a long time ago folks | |

I have seen it. That is my proof to me.
I only remember you saying you saw a UFO.

You see something in the sky one night and conclude that aliens MUST have made it, yet you look around at all of creation and conculde that NOBODY made it? I'm a little confused...

I’d like to believe that the people I’ve loved that have passed on are able to still understand how much I love them and how much my heart aches for them. I’d like to believe that they are without pain and suffering yet still with the conscious ability to look in on their loved ones. But I have never seen proof of this.
I’d also like to believe there is more to this universe than us; that somewhere out there are similar beings with the capability of logical thought and reasoning. I guess I’m making the presumption that we are of logical thought and reasoning in this too.  | |

I never said no one made it.
I said there is no proof that the god that christian's and all other religion's in the world made it. No living human being has seen god. And never will. Except if you believe jesus was god.But there is no proof that he was.Just something that his follow's told everyone. You got the right to believe that if ya wanna. Just like I have seen an alien ship. I know that it was not made from a human. But I do think this day and time that it is kinda funny with everyone who has seen something strange in the sky and other's giving there opinion on what it is. They say it's not from another planet. But then they chose to believe in something that happened way back in the past that only a few follower's saw.Just kinda funny. God's own choosen people dont believe jesus was the son of god. So am I any stranger then anyone who believe's in something that a few say's is so. I bet there is more people in the world from the past and present that has seen thing's in the sky that are not human made then anyone from the past who say's they saw miracle's from jesus.
