I bet there is more people in the world from the past and present that has seen thing's in the sky that are not human made - Wolfie
Technically speaking, true enough. Just today, I saw a whole bunch of birds flying around in the sky. I'm fairly certain no human being made those, but I could be wrong...

Do i believe that Extra-Terrestrial life exsists. Yes considering the vast amount of stars , I would have to say it does. many scienctist have recently discovered many life forms on our planet living in conditions once thought void of any life such as volcanos and places that sulfur filled areas. the problem is and i have said this for year!! damnit!! LOL is too many people thing as life as only carbon based. So many differnt forms of life could exisst based on differnt types of matter forms or energy forms. I think that thier are many differnt types of aliens at varying levels of technology . Some are probly far less advanced then us., being anywhere from stone age to medieval types of technology depending on the way it advances and what types of minerals and such are on thier planet. other races might be somewhere along the same lines as us as far as technology and such just differnt in form and material as i said before then there are porbly races far more advanced than use who have been around alot longer.. Alot of what aliens look like would be based on the gravitional force and weather conditions on there planet. a planet with huge gravitaional force would more than likely produce very short very strong type races if they happen to be carbon based such as ourselves a planet with low gravity would produce the taller forms of like with weaker physical traits i would assume but not complety positive. Some forms of like could be energy based with a neuro net type thought system beyond what we could even begin to think of . In all honestly until we actully meet any thing which will be quite hard considering the amount of ditsance traveled , i think it will be basically up to scienctists to give use ideas of what may be out there. I think we may encounter alien -radio- type signals before any actully contact is made simply because of the distance scales. Its quite doubtful that humans will ever get very far inspace simply because of that. I would like to beleive we could but sadly it doesnt not look to bright as the amount of energy needed to go that fast cannort be acheived. the only way to go faster than light is basically open a pair of scissors the moment you opena pair of scissiors the line between the two points that is there as the scissors open is faster than light. Other than that light speed itself just cannot happen and who knows what would happen if a human did acheive light speed. your body itself might go from physical matter to energy therefore becoming light and how would a person get back to there pror from ?? i have no idea lol. as far as alien ethics and religion im sure some races are quite reilgious and have varing ideas and thoughts on thier gods and and such while other races might not have any reigion at all. Im sure some planets might have have many races like here on earth on one planet trying to get through problems just like here while some planets could be very pacifist or very warlike depending on what has happened to there cultures throughout time. Just some thoughts. | |

Posted: 7/24/2007 4:10:25 PM | Not sure on the first one,but definitely yes to the second one.With as big and vast as the universe is,one would have to think that life exists somewhere out there beyond our scope and imagination.Whether it's some type of plant or animal form who knows.I do believe something happened at Roswell in 1947.
Me and my brother have both had a supernatural experience before.Mine happened only a couple months ago.I had just laid down in the bed when I heard a ghostly noise come from the living room.It was loud and very spooky.Believe me,it wasn't an appliance.I wasn't asleep....heck,I wasn't even groggy yet.I hadn't been in the bed 5 minutes .The only thing that was on was the window fan and it was on low. I've been here since 1994,and this isn't an old house,so it was the first time I've experienced something like that.It scared me enough that I slept on the couch with the tv on for several weeks. | |

Chinua8, this information (of your Dad's) is incorrect. I was married and divorced way before the Gulf War took place and my ex had told me about the stealth fighters...he works for Lockheed.
As for ghost,Iv never seen one.But I do believe it to be possible.
Chinua8, I do believe in ghosts...I believe that there are good and mean spirited ones. I have one that travels with me when I take long road trips to help keep me awake. My body likes to think that when it stops walking...it's time to take a nap...that doesn't work out too well with the D.O.T.'s plans for road safety. It didn't work out too well for my former car insurance carrier either. 
I do believe that we are just a tiny speck on the face of this universe and the thing we call planet Earth is just a tiny entity of a vast collection of life dwelling locations. I look down and see a tiny bug on the ground and wonder who is looking down upon me in the same manner...  | |

As far as ghosts go, I definitely believe in them. My mom actually saw an apparition when I was in 3rd grade. We lived in a huge, old house with 13ft. ceilings. She saw something that looked like a small child go down the hallway and thought it was me going to the bathroom. When she got up and checked, I was in the bed asleep. She saw this same child like figure in our walk-in pantry. We had a trap door that went down to the cellar and this thing floated right through the trap door and disappeared. Needless to say, we weren't in the house much longer. After we moved, we found out that a small child had died in that house in the early 1900s. Pretty freaky!
My 2 boys have told me several times that they see shadows in the house we live in now. I haven't seen anything, but have noticed on several occassions that I will be looking for something and it is gone. Within 5 minutes or so the thing reappers in the same place that it wasn't 5 min. ago. I don't think I have old timers disease yet, so I'm blaming it on the unknown.

Ghosts and Aliens:
My great uncle was a founding member of the US Air Force - and was a very high ranked Non-com. He's told us about the strange things he's chased in the sky and I'm willing to bet that yes, there is life out there.
As for ghosts... several years ago, my son and I took a short trip to North Caroline to do some Lighthouse looking. We were walking out to Foley Island to photograph the lighthouse nad as we stepped onto the beach, there was a very elderly woman sitting on a bench. She motioned me over and asked if we had come to look at the lighthouse.
The lighthouse is surrounded by water, not far off shore but rip currents make it impossible for anyone to wade out. It is leaning and in need badly of reinforcement. She started telling me how as a young child, her uncle had been the last LH keeper, before it was automated, and how se used to swing from the top, scaring her mother and her aunt to death. She talked and talked about life and pointed out where the houses had been, the cook house, hauling oil up to the top. She was so interesting to listen to, walking history.
My son had wandered to close to the water and I asked her to hang on and I hollered at him not to wander into the water. When i turned around, she was gone, the bench was gone... there was no sign of her, not even footprints....
you know, I think I sometimes get irritated at Wolfie for ressurected dead threads and burying the ones that are currently the buzz. But at the same time, I see names, names of friends who have dissappeared - whether they have left or simply moved along... and I wonder where my friends went...
Of course, the vast MAJORITY of the post by people no longer here are Wolfie in one of his many personas. | |

Posted: 5/26/2008 6:35:24 PM | I definitely do believe in both and have had experiences with both. My alien experience was when I was about 14 or 15. My dad and I were out driving. He did photography and had a nice camera with a telephoto lens on it. We saw this thing in the sky. This was in Harlan, Kentucky. We looked through the telephoto lens I saw this thing that was round and had windows all around it. Dad took pictures of this and when he developed them nothing showed up but a blur.
I have nightmares that that thing is over my house or is chasing me and when I am waking up my heart is pounding and I am covered in sweat. I have had this dream numerous times since then.
My ghosts experiences are varied. I work in a nursing home and used to work night shift and heard and experienced weird things. Also almost every house we live in weird things happen. Not only do I experience these things but so does my children and even guests. So I know how you feel. It is scary.
