Polly the unhappy fish
stares out from her bowl
she can't fulfill her wish
and Erik is her troll

far be it from projecting pshyce Ki-atree
but it seems this pisces ship
is really lost at sea
I've lost my meter at such a clip
now the doldrums are affecting me

cause i can't remember how to end it
so I give up and will just send it

- THE HUNT -

The sun on the tundra
Ice all but gone
Caribou racing in migration
The herds drifting the vast expanse
Far off a nose goes to ground
The scents not available
No sound for straining ears
Belly empty
Hunger gnawing
Sauntering off from the den
The gait becomes stronger
Instinct calling him
Six miles away hooves draw nearer
Senses alive
Need almost blinding
Herds ever closer and now he can hear
Gait turns yet broader
Speed now increasing
Drawing his reserves
Failure no option
Now from the low point
Shadows the runners
Picking a target
Into the throng
Scattered in panic
Desperate chase
Both run for lives
Precious and full
She from her nemesis
He toward his food
Locked in a struggle
Straining to hold on
Then with a wrong turn
Jaws rend assunder
Life ebbing quickly
Food at long last
Eating with gusto
Gluttonous appetite
Not just for himself
Mate and his pups
Saved by the herds
Spanning the emptiness
Seeking good grazing
Dancing with wolves

Nomadic Dreamers
Chapter One:

Shrunken Dreams

I sit inside my catacombs
And cry myself to sleep
As pieces of its memory
Lose hopes I couldn't keep

Then wake to sounds of poetry
I'd spun within these walls
That sent my echoes of lament
To haunt my purple halls

I sleepy-blink Bi Jou Jou in
To sing my Polly song
One more time before our dream
Is forced to move along

While whispering silver music notes
To dance upon my hand
Just to hear them sigh before
They fall as sorrow'd planned

Then Bi Jou Jou says to me
Please close your Emerald eyes
And think about when you were six
Before you knew of lies

Remember baby orphan bird
Who'd yet to touch the sky
You thought somehow that he could learn
By telling him to fly

But soon found out he must be shown
And made some little wings
Then covered them with wrinkled foil
And other shiny things

Your first attempt was pretty rough
Good thing you weren't so tall
But even from a little stance
Your wing broke from the fall

Pollyanna see again
Your wings I've made anew
I found them in the catacombs
And fixed them up for you

But as I looked upon my muse
I noticed that our eyes
Were level like they used be
When I was small in size

Bi Jou Jou what is going on?
He said pain has to show
And shrinking dreams of yesterday
Can't tick in time to grow

I didn't think my catacombs
Could break inside my heart
Until I felt them die in me
As dreams were torn apart

Then Bi Jou Jou said to me
My dreams would never die
Because he knew my spirit verse
Was not afraid to cry

So now we're nomads wandering
Throughout the sleepy night
Until my Cosmic Catacombs
Can find the will to fight

Dear Dr. Boring Me...

Save your "wise" philosophy
For someone more inclined
To listen to such vanity
And bullsh!t of the mind

Who died and made you boring?
I envy them indeed
Sometimes a mental suicide
Is really all you need

For life is over-rated
While death gets a bad name
And love's just some ridiculous
Misleading kind of game

And irony is killing me
Through life sustaining air
But still I can't stop breathing it
For it is everywhere

Self-hate then just comes natural
So talk? I'd rather not
For rhyme can live inside of me
But reasoning cannot

Purple Opulence

Purple Dreaming once again
Haunted echoes sidle in
Prowling shadows screaming deep
Drawing silence out of sleep

He has chosen me as fate
Aching hunger I can sate
Purple omens of despair
Stills nostalgia in the air

Tender love upon my brow
Stirs arousal here and now
Dismal voice from time away
Whispers darkness in the day

Tantalizing mystery
With opulence of melody
My Purple Love has come again
To touch the Dreamer lost within

- A LITTLE PISCES POEM -

Bluest waters hide the fish
Greatest lurking deepest wish
Echos of the current tide
Swimming silent side by side

Spawning Distance

Wordless worlds lie dark and cold
As 'someday' tales I've put on hold
These treasure troves of what could be
Are buried deep inside of me

I've heard them echo sorrow's call
Through spiraled fate as to enthrall
A few have time yet lack a place
But most are dreams of faltered grace

The ones which beat a tragic heart
I fear my mind would tear apart
So those I rarely glance upon
Since evil knows the things I'll spawn

Some charmed to life though never planned
As songs of heart to play my hand
With scores of music seeking sheets
Then danced in verse as rhyming beats

My endless tears and broken smiles
Could sate a land with hopeless miles
And notions which refused to fly
I've blushed with crimson marks as shy

And some concepts I cannot catch
My mind is fueled yet blows the match
But I'll brave through this mindless dare
As silent thoughts caught unaware

- YOU NEED ONLY SOUND THE HORN -

The endless miles and distance greater
Inner journeys take their toll
Some stab now and some bite later
Taking peices from her whole

Still as if some ancient magic
When her hour darkens deep
And that gnawing dream grows tragic
Eating waking time from sleep

Know that light is ever granted
Sound the horn and walls shall fall
Never left in dispair stranded
One great warrior heeds the call

I shall hunt and slay your demons
Bring the torch to light your path
And once foes have been sent screamin'
I wont settle 'til you laugh!

Inquire Within

How is a single
Teardrop capable
Of dispiriting felicity
Manipulating joviality
Or turning tranquility
Into tumultuousness?

And when did melancholy
Become so inquisitive
As to not only undermine
Certainty with doubt, but
To ultimately convince
A metaphoric crescent
Of feigning contentment
While accusing laughter
That a facsimile had been
Its only genuine aspect?

And as familiar sadness
Amplitudes my perception
And consideration willingly
Succumbs to indifference

Should I find it appalling
That my happiness was
So eager to submit and
Settle as complacency
Inside my memory's past?

Because I don't

- DEEPER IMPRESSIONS -

Some see your eyes and think how sexy
I see your eyes as the gate to your soul
Some see your lips and feel strong perplexity
I see your lips for the stories untold

Some see your face and think of your beauty
I see beyond and admire your spirit
So while it's true you're a stunning cutie
Your soul sings a song and I strain to hear it

Am I allowed to post poems that are not my own?

This one conjures a vision, It's called 'The Hermit' By Sidney Bell.

I LIVE alone in a square little house,
with a row of books and a wee grey
mouse.
Who comes and sits and stares at me,
And wonders if I am as daft as he!

O, I would tell him, if I dare speak,
But when I move he gives a squeak
And bolts for his life, as fast as he can:
Sure I wouldn't hurt him, the wee grey
man!

For when he's there I'm not my lone,
And it does be lonely on my own,
Away from the world, in my small little
house,
With a couple of books, and a wee grey
mouse.

Once

I gaze upon your face
And find your eyes
Searching mine
But this time
I am not afraid
To be seen

For kindness
Has found me

I have never touched
Such benevolence
So my hand reaches
For my miracle

My finger traces along
Your adoring face
I whisper to you
"Close your eyes"

And as you do
Reality must turn

As I outline your lips
You touch my hand

And when you
Open your eyes
I see fire and want

I feel your heart
Pull me into you,
And I am unsure
Whether or not I can resist

Since I do not even try

All I know is that
I must taste love
At least once

If I am to feel it
Forever

Tact

My escape from sociability
Was going rather well
Sorrow lived inside of me
But very few could tell

Sustaining life through poetry
I thought I felt complete
Since honesty and openness
Could terminate deceit

Though metaphors apparently
Succumbed to speaking plain
Still introverted moodiness
Took pride in being vain

But giving ear to loneliness
Were culprits I deem weak
Like memories of happiness
Allowing charm to speak

Then soon a heart beat steadily
Where silence should be found
And laughter wrote a melody
Through smiles which came around

But once a challenge has been met
Complacency steps in
And soon looks for another game
Less interesting to win

Therefore a bored Lothario's
Exempt from feeling shame
Since nothingness is left intact
To douse a heartless flame

My Next Installment

Incarnating poetry
Substantiates a link
From episodic interludes
Which leave me time to think

Some speculate I medicate
But there's no better pill
Than my psychotic sanctities
Where dreams are never still

The purple ones I tabulate
From hopes I should have lost
And overdose to cover up
My apathetic frost

The yellow ones are memories
I find a bit surreal
Though mindless they can override
The way I truly feel

My green is never envious
For jealousy's obtuse
And jaded injudiciousness
My mind cannot seduce

And love is a placebo
That I take to no effect
But indeed I'll ponder anytime
In order to reflect

Elsewhere

Seeking refuge somewhere small
A place where silence says it all
Where threats aren't made in black and blue
For no one looks or sounds like you

Where blood that drips upon the floor
Is mopped up with your f*cking whore
And lies I tell to hide your shame
Remember truth once had a name

Where more than one becomes a crowd
So drunken fists are not allowed
But promises were meant to break
So sleepy moons will never wake

Me dear friend Frank wrote this fer me after reading me verse Elsewhere...

The Truth Hates... by, Frank, me dear friend...

I am trapped inside your mind
a secret hidden from your conscious side.
For I see your world as it really is
a world that remains unspoken.

The only voice I have
is through your words.
The words you type each day
but file under never to be read.

Once written, always forgotten
that’s the way you like to keep me,
the words you need to get off your chest,
to stop you from coming undone.

I see him for what he really is,
a feckless bully who slaps your face,
pulls your hair and kicks you hard
while you are down, literally down.

He throttles you to within a breath
of your precious life,
this man who thinks it is acceptable
to beat his wife.

He stops you from being creative
too scared of that, sees it as a threat.
Doesn’t want you feeling good,
not if it diminishes his power.

He keeps you small.
When he is around, you remain
in the background
quiet as a fearful wife.

This man is a man
who real men
wouldn’t call
a man.

I also see you, the excuse maker
who can’t leave him, nowhere else to go.
Can’t fragment the family,
it’s all my fault anyway.

You are the one
who lies awake at night
hating yourself and
wanting to die.

I don’t want to be
the silent witness
to your premature
death.

Who am I?
You know who I am,
I am the truth
and I hate myself too.

Author Notes: ... Please go and get some help, that's what really makes you strong, not putting up with this cowardly brute.

Polly

The world can be a cruel place for anyone these days
When life is a treasure under the suns rays
Stay clear of those that offer harm
You'll feel safe with those that love you with open arms
Cast out the night and what is left
You're still sleeping breathing with every breath
That's all that matter is that you're alive to proove others wrong
You belong in this world now tell them to get along
Life may not be about peace and harmony bliss
But you'll feel much safer knowing this
That the world turns and as age progresses further along
You keep getting bolder and forever strong
Love your neighbor and always lend a helping hand
It'll make you a goddess even as only a woman

Keep that in mind

Alright, that's enough of me dark an' moody 'ead

Ah..Mother Nature deserves a poetic moment...

Doesn't she?

Letting Nature Speak

Nature has so much to say
Unless my words get in the way
But not today, I'm focused -See?
To let Earth speak poetically

I've yet to rhyme of any season
Not quite sure I have a reason
Other than I haven't tried
Oi! That just shows my lazy side

And that's a truth you musn't see
So that excuse won't work for me
Perhaps I'll blame it on my muse
Or choices make it hard to choose

I'm going to choose the choices thing
To see what looks that it might bring
So, summer, winter, spring or fall?
Oh, what the hell I'll do them all

Summer time I have to say
Is hot and stupid every day
Autumn is my favorite one
Turning trees - now that one's done

Winter is a time to chill
Spring can sing and probably will
So there's my nature poetry
Now finally let's get back to me

Ahhhhhh a poem for Mother nature.

- FOR MOTHER NATURE, FROM A MEMBER OF ONE OF YOUR MOST PROLIFIC SPECIES -

Thank you for plants and animals too
I like the outdoors, the garden and zoo
Thanks for ocean the desert and rock
And for making females ( hey what a shock )

Thanks for all life and weather types too
Thanks for the planet so lush and blue
Sorry that humans are such naughty beings
Stripping the world of all that we're seeing

World issues aside it's sort of your fault
Too many humans stuffing the vault
Why is it your fault we breed complexly?
Cause you made women irrisitably sexy!
