Just one day?
Seems to me maybe several would be a lot of fun... but I'd settle for one I guess
I hosted 16 rides over last summer. We rode every Sunday with only 2 rain outs!! we also did 2 overnighters to Vancouver island. I am so pleased to say that we have our own POF (Plenty of Freaks) GANG now!!
It would be wicked if we could plan a ride where we meet in the middle somewhere!! I know I would be up for it!
If anyone would like to check out pics from our rides, just do a search in our forum using the words ride pics and a bunch of threads should come up!!
Ride safe everyone! Keep the shiny side down!

I am going to start organising some day rides on Saturdays or Sundays. Something like going up north for the day or anywhere where it would be cool to ride, much like the POFers in BC have. If any of you know good trails just post them on here and at one point we will just start a thread for the rides. A few of you already did post some and I am actually going to try one of them. I looked into what GYB was talking about Big Chute and it looks so cool that for sure I will be going to do it a nice weekend in July anybody will be welcome to join, my first real ride will probable be with Fun N Silly he is planning to drive through Bancroft or something like that I cannot remember exactly but it sounded like a fun ride.
My bike is nearly home, it is still at the dealer but it is licence and ensured. Baby is coming home on the 13th it’s the only thing I can think of lately.

Damn it, just talking about it makes me want to go! Thanks alot!
The Bandit is eager! She is yelling at me to hurry up!!

I looked at the maps and find that this is a great ride. Small HWY great scenery lots of nature now that’s what I am talking about that is a bike ride.
How long do you think it may take to do this ride? I am thinking 3h to 4h to get to Algonquin 1h to get to hwy 35, 3h to get back to Whitby. Total estimation for the ride 10 hours including breaks, gas, and food, let me know if I am off.

| Survey gauge interest in a POF motorcycle day ride. Posted: 3/4/2007 9:19:13 PM | | That would be pretty close. I did it in about 6 and a half last August but I was fueled up before I started and only stopped for a gas up break in Bancroft and a few snapshots with the bike and the amazing scenery along the highways north of there. I was in Minden for noon or 12:30 as I recall but stopped near Lindsay to visit some close friends and that made the trip roughly 8 hours I think. It was simply a great ride, and practically zero traffic the entire way. I would do this ride once a week if I had the chance. I will likely follow the same kind of timetable too, leave bright and early and fill the day with a good solid ride, I plan on doing it as soon as the roads, weather, and my schedule allow it. | |

Posted: 3/5/2007 12:12:26 PM | WOW!...looks like your'e going to have a massive ride on your hands there.I really hate to rub it in ........but we went riding yesterday.10 degress and overcast .............but no snow(?) and no rain.......If I may make another suggestion.Perhaps someone should look up the rules for group rides .....Believe me it's not as easy as it sounds .You'll want everyone to at least have some idea as to how to ride in formation ,and what to do if the group gets seperated,or someone has a break down.I have a few articals on this topic I could e-mail someone,if you contact me here and give me an e-mail address.Good on you all for making this happen! It will be a blast.....I assure you. Cheers Russ

It may reach short ride temperature next week but that’s it. Thanks for volunteering the info if you want just send it to me and I will take care of the distribution. Looks like we people in winter wonderland will have to wait a few more weeks before getting out on the road.
BTW riding at 10 degrees with a kilt must be hard on the privates.
