| Does anyone believe or seen a Ghost?? Posted: 7/20/2007 8:54:17 PM | | I have only had one experience with a ghost...when I was younger I was camping up in the mountains and thought I heard something outside my tent...when I looked to see what it was I saw a wolf standing on a large boulder and it looked like it was howling...only reason I knew it was a ghost was because I could see through it...It was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had! | |

| Does anyone believe or seen a Ghost?? Posted: 7/21/2007 11:20:10 AM | I grew up in a house with a ghost. My mother didn't notice it much until I started school & she was home alone. She would hear footsteps, when we were all in school. She would also hear doors opening & closing, when no-one else was home. Our ghost might have been female, as my brother noticed perfume smells sometimes (my mother has allergies , so no-one in our house used cologne/after-shave,etc).
When I was 11 we sold our house to my aunt & uncle, & bought a smaller house. Apparently the "spirit" was very unhappy with the change, as my aunt reported stomping & doors being slammed! LOL

| Does anyone believe or seen a Ghost?? Posted: 8/18/2007 9:53:14 PM | | I've been seeing them for as long as I can remember. Yes, hearing closing doors seem common. It is funny how you are able to decipher the gender of the ghosts though. Did it affect me? No. Although, one did cause me to move out of my apartment...I think it was a horrible death. I was having nightmares for 5 days straight, then after I moved into a new place...the nightmares stopped. | |

Posted: 3/31/2008 8:46:33 PM | Nahhhhhhhhh....but I will tell you I think there was 'something' bumping me and shoving me off my bed when I lived in an old apartment building in Vancouver. Like a hard shove to get me out of the way... mind you...it could of been the EX.... ..... or the old woman who died in the apartment before we rented it......

| Does anyone believe or seen a Ghost?? Posted: 3/31/2008 8:54:53 PM | Should the title be, "Does anyone believe AND saw a ghost??"? One needs to believe in ghost to see them. Right?
No, I do not believe in ghosts. To level headed for such a thing.

UM NO, not right. I never believed UNTIL I saw one. in this case it wasn't a case of believing is seeing it was seeing IS believing!!

Oh this is a fun one! Thanks Hazel.
I have lots of stories so hope I don't run out of room. I wouldn't believe unless I'd had the following experiences:
1) When I was 12 years old, one night just shortly after I had gone to bed, I felt a hand on my back - I could feel the complete outline of the hand. It went right through me - from back to front. For some reason the image of my grandmother came to mind. I went to sleep. Next morning (early) the phone rang My grandmother had passed away during the night.
2) A few days after my father died my phone rang. No one there - no dial tone, nothing. I thought nothing of it as I had friends visiting at the time. Suddenly, I jumped up and dialed #69 to find out what # had called me. I wrote it down but it didn't seem familiar to me at all. Much later that night as I lay down and started to relax, I suddenly recognized the phone # that had called me. I jumped out of bed to check my phone book to make sure. The number was my father's cell phone. I rarely called his cell phone so did not recognize the number. The house where he had lived was empty - it had only been several days since his passing and we had not yet had the cell phone cancelled. Yet I received a call from that phone. My friends were witnesses and Telus records are the proof. (do I win a million dollars?)
3) When my father died, we decided not to tell his father who was old, sick and almost ready to pass on himself. He lived far away. My aunt told me that a day or 2 before my grandfather passed on she heard him talking one night. She knew he was alone so went up to his room to find out why he was talking out loud. He was saying "tell them to be quiet". She asked him who he was talking about and he said "there are people in the room, your mother (my grandmother who had passed away in the 1990's) and Shirley (my grandfather's second wife who had passed away in the 1980's. He also said he saw a man standing in the corner. He said is that you Don? (my father - remember we didn't tell him my father had died that month). Soon after my grandfather passed on. I've read that some believe that just before we die, we may see those close to us who have already passed on.
Believe it or Not. | |

| Does anyone believe or seen a Ghost?? Posted: 4/1/2008 8:34:24 AM | A lady friend who was widowed some 20 years ago has had two visitations from her husband since his demise.
Each time he appeared at the end of her bed and made sure things were going well for her and assured her he was in a good place. She was wide awake both times. My friend is down to earth, not the kind to have a wild imagination and not one to make up stories. I believe her.
This may or may not be relevant: when they first met is was instant "sparks" and they had a very strong connection most of us would be envious of.

But i have seen the movie 'Ghost' which i regret was a horribly disappointing waste of two hours of my life
How can you not like ghost i loved that movie, Whoppie was hilarious in it.
And what Sam said at the end was moving, the love you take with you.
I however don't believe in Ghosts I think we miss our loved ones so much we see them. Having said that I have not experienced anything like what some people claimed to have seen.
I have a hope that when all is over we will see our loved ones again. No one can take this hope away from me. Its what keeps me going, I do miss those loved ones that passed so much, especially mom.

| Does anyone believe or seen a Ghost?? Posted: 4/13/2008 6:42:21 PM | | My son filmed a video for a school assignment outside the old Riverview mental institution which has been shut down for years. While editing the footage, he noticed a ghostly apparition looking out of one of the windows of the upper rooms ... female if I recall correctly. I was sure there was some other explanation for it until I saw the footage myself ... yuppers, it sure was a ghost. Film crews who have shot movies at that hospital say that it's normal to hear & see restless spirits that wander the halls of that hospital. I went inside the building once when my son was in a movie being filmed there & couldn't wait to get out ... all the hairs on my arms were standing up the entire time I was there. Creepy! | |

| Does anyone believe or seen a Ghost?? Posted: 4/14/2008 8:39:46 AM | Yes and well kinda sorta...
There are many freaky occasions where your mind can play tricks on you and then there are occasions where your whole body feels something there. There is a difference and they are real. If perhaps you are losing things in your home, misplacing things and finding small things where they shouldn't be, you probaby have a youthful ghost. I had lost a baby boy in Feb of 2000. Now when my kids aren't home I'll find thier big ball all over the house, sometimes its still moving but no one is there, it doesn't really creep me out, I just giggle a bit. The kettle goes off at the same time almost daily, no one turns it on, no one wants tea but the kettle is whistling... my great grandma wants tea( She passed in 2002) So I have someone in my house staying the night, thier life has been tramatic by force and by choice and they rarely stop to pay attention to anything. When you are around them you can feel thier stress eminating. CRASH the candle holder hanging from the ceiling bangs itself onto the wall., suddenly there is no talking just silence and then the questions come.. OMG I swear there is a ghost in your house, did you see that? No I sure didn't but I did see it swinging. I leave to go to the bathroom, saying nothing. Meanwhile said friend is speaking to who they think is me....... It wasn't. So now we lay in the bed together, they are freakin out.. I just moved the things that could be put into motion by mistake.. again giggling a little.. We lay there and suddenly I am asked... Was that your hand on me? Um no.... it sure wasn't. Moments later there was shadowdancing, as I am assuming the presence left the room....did I see it? Nope. Does that mean that it doesn't exsist? I have also been fortunate enough for some close friends to trust me with thier stories, from the Grim Reaper coming to them in the night, being held down on a couch and not being able to scream or say anything because of the pressure, the force of someone pushing on your chest. Waking up with a handful of hair entwinded in your fingers and moments later its disappeared. Having a person pass behind you and coming to find them unmoved in another room....Children laughing and playing in the halls of an old schoolhouse that is now a hotel. The cook and the girl at the bottom of the stairs who because of her he quit his job!!! There is something about those stories that makes them all somewhat similar. The look on the persons face and the intense feelings of a presence of some sort and when they start telling you the stories, your whole body is set aflame with the want of knowledge of the unknown but the fear that it might really be true. Or maybe its our own imagination? Do you know? This topic totally intruiges me and I am so curious as to what people will say or what they actually keep to themselves for fear of being deemed crazed!
Did you know if you close your eyes and really focus on a situation where you have intense feelings like that, you can become one with the spirit world and ask questions that will be answered through you... with your own body? Creepy but its been proven you can look it up on google I think maybe under spirit guides or something involving communication. Having said all of this... whether I believe or a don't is not for certain, but I also wouldn't ever put myself in a position where I know someone had died somewhere and invade thier space.. nor would I ever disrupt anything so I doubt in my life I will see anything that truly scares me, more just a comfort of knowing this isn't all there is.... Tomorrow on the twighlight zone... Zombies Strike Back!!

| Does anyone believe or seen a Ghost?? Posted: 4/14/2008 10:13:11 AM | My most favourite fun thread-I love it! In the spirit of this thread I e-mailed a self claimed psychic who advertizes her ability to contact those dear to us who have passed on. Thought I might have a chat with my parents. A day later my inbox was filled with typical crap and a request for a credit card #. No surprise, I expected nothing less.
Ghosts-of course not. What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence

| Does anyone believe or seen a Ghost?? Posted: 5/17/2008 3:14:29 PM | | ghosts dont have a brain. they dont comunicate with people. they are most likely heard and not seen. yes they exist.they are a current of energy that cannot be explained. if you should see one and keep watching it - will keep repeating itself much like a broken record. in other words if you see a ghost walking acrossm the room and into a wall it may may do this over and over and over. at a real young age in the basement of our house i heard a old womans voice. no one in the house. i was alone. i didnt know at the time what it was still ran like hell. for me this is a real story and really happened. | |

| Does anyone believe or seen a Ghost?? Posted: 5/17/2008 11:29:49 PM | For those of you into this thing, google Banff Springs Hotel Ghosts. There are many that have been seen there, including a specific room which was boarded up because a father killed his children in there. The house keepers would clean the bathroom mirror but kids finger prints would appear. There is also the dancing bride & Sam the Bell Man.
Completely creepy and if you're into that, it makes for a great date. Ghost hunting.
