| Asked For Photo, Got Handed My Hat Posted: 5/28/2008 2:03:57 AM | | would you buy a car without seeing it first? a house? why would you want to meet a potential lifemate without seeing a picture? both men and women alike have their own idea of what they want in a persons physical appearance. if you would meet and your not attracted to her physically, it would be a waste of time, both yours and hers to meet without seeing a recent photo. shallow? maybe a little, but everyone needs and seeks physical attraction in some form. | |

| Asked For Photo, Got Handed My Hat Posted: 5/28/2008 12:02:24 PM | | You did nothing wrong here. I would NEVER meet someone without seeing a picture of them first, for several reasons. First, how would you know who to look for if you were meeting at, say, a coffee shop? You could walk in and there could be 3 girls sitting all alone. Second, physical attaction is definitely key in relationships. If you have no idea what someone looks like and they are unwilling to show you before meeting, they probably have self-esteem issues, or have gotten negative feedback on their photos at some point. | |

| Asked For Photo, Got Handed My Hat Posted: 5/28/2008 2:16:36 PM | | No its not cold etc but I wouldn't have lied and made up an excuse to cancel on her. Just being straightforward and saying that you really want a photo first like you sent her to be fair is what you expect before you meet. If she is angry at you like that then she probably isn't very attractive anyway, I get the feeling you wouldn't have liked her and she knew that. | |

| Asked For Photo, Got Handed My Hat Posted: 5/28/2008 2:26:21 PM | If you have these feelings about how a woman looks in order to meet with them... why on earth did you arrange to meet with her without a photo ?
Of course it was offensive to her . Not to mention that you lied and cancellled the meet. I think you should have a good look at yourself and this might not happen again

| Asked For Photo, Got Handed My Hat Posted: 5/28/2008 2:29:38 PM | | Scanners are not the only way to get pics onto profiles. You can pop into boots and have photos put onto cds, you can get a bluetooth connector for somewhere around a tenner etc. She was definitely hiding something, especially seeing as how you showed your pic first. She only would have had a case if you didn't show your pic but wanted to see hers. | |

| Re: Asked For Photo, Got Handed My Hat Posted: 6/1/2008 7:10:24 AM | | Someone should never arrange a date in the first place without the pic if its that important. What you said to her in the mail after cancelling the date should have been said before a date was even set up. THAT WAS THE MISTAKE..................... | |

| Asked For Photo, Got Handed My Hat Posted: 6/1/2008 7:12:52 AM | Well it seems to me that you have problems big time.
You dont want your profile picture up to be seen, but like to send one via post/e-mail/or however you send it to the potential date.
Maybe they dont want their picture up for anyone to see.
Pot - kettle - and black come to mind here.

| Re: Asked For Photo, Got Handed My Hat Posted: 10/19/2008 8:03:41 PM | [maybe they went out with a girl once that had eyes/hair/lips/ or hair like mine and I remind them of that girl and that's it...I'm history...lol!] Not necessarily so!! Thats a third of the battle right there, being attracted, now i've never dated a woman that looked like someone i've dated before, but if they looked similar, and since i was previously attracted to the other one, great! I actually have seen a couple of pics on here that were definitely deja' vu's and if i thought they were interested i'd have asked them out without question. I 've only had one bad relationship, but I don't associate that with her looks. I used to think that most women without pics were probably extremely overweight, I've had this happen a couple of times, but i've had at least one prove me wrong on that idea Just like the extremely overweight people want you to develop a relationship before you see them hoping you'll want them anyway, some extremely attractive people think you'll put up with any crap they dish out just because they're hot to trot | |

| Asked For Photo, Got Handed My Hat Posted: 10/30/2008 3:40:13 AM | Poeple who refuse to let you see a pic before a meeting just dont get it.
If I meet someone in any other format, outside of online, what do I see first? Thier face! We dont walk around with masks and bags over our heads!
It is customary to see who you are speaking with. No pic, no talk for me.
I am not asking for a pic ONLY because I want to make sure I am attratced, I consider it normal to see who Im speaking with. I would not talk to a person on the street with a hidden face, why would I do that online?

| Asked For Photo, Got Handed My Hat Posted: 11/1/2008 10:10:53 PM | Don't let it get you down.... in fact, be sure to ask for a current photo, I have found women that use photos that are 2, 5, 15 or even 20 years old. Upon questioning them, some have admitted to even having the photo retouched (to a point it wasn't the same person), one even sent me a photo of her daughter claiming everyone says she looks just like her...
And the best part of all, almost every one of these women said in their profile that they are honest and expect the same. Ya gota love it.....
