this will be my very first attempt at a reply so forgive me if i break any rules or do something wrong. i find the question a curiouse one and i cant help wondering whats behind it. personnaly i tend to assume anyone i meet has had all numbers of lovers from sites or this site. i think the question you have to ask youreself is does it matter to YOU personnaly how many lovers they have had or are having. and as an aside, when you meet someone do you think it would matter to them? the reason being that if you/or they, realy wanted to "get it on" with them would they/ you, tell the truth? my advise (if im allowed?) choose carefuly and proceed with charm but caution. i think people are generaly good judges of other people. | |

Posted: 7/23/2007 1:07:23 AM | Well i have met just one guy and that was off this site, there has to be somthing i find attractive etc in a person to agree to meet them...im not looking for a guy but if it happens brilliant...anyway where was i...yeah met one guy earlier this yr, a amazing guy fell hook line and sinker for him , have some brilliant memorys and photos off the time spent with him...but he was scared of getting hurt and letting go so fun a mile after he started getting to involved after many months...so left me heartbroken...but dont hate him any lady who gets him will be a lucky lady, just a shame at the time we couldnt stay friends through it(my fault)As i miss him and his kids as a friend....  | |

Posted: 7/23/2007 2:11:06 AM | Over the last six years, I have met up with Nine people from the internet. Not all from this site though. and I have only ever met them as friends.
Saying that, one man I did meet turned into a relationship which lasted 8 months. lol
I go out on a regular basis with a woman I met from POF, she's cool, and we have a good laugh.
One lives so far away I cant get to visit her as much as I'd like.
The others I've met once or twice, and keep in touch by mail or MSN.
If I did ever meet someone and it evolved into something special, well I guess that would be good. | |

Non of the one to one dates ever came to anything apart from one who continued to go out with me as a friend for a few months. | |

Posted: 8/25/2007 10:29:10 AM | Meets were just that, meeting at lunchtime over coffee.. most were during a time i was out of work, recovering from a nervous breakdown. After enduring a 7yr controlled marriage, ( much of which was in the outer hebrides). I was not allowed to speak to anyone. I had the company of one man for all those yrs..
It took me a very long time before i could feel safe and comfortable in the presence of any man.
Eventually i plucked up the courage to meet people. It was scary.. but it all helped me get back into the real world
Not sure how this thing works,...but hope you got my "Well Done"

Posted: 8/25/2007 12:04:54 PM | I've met quite a few, all very nice except for a very strange character but still that was an adventure meeting him - he was sooo drunk!! Unfortunately I'm useless at staying in touch or have been of late.
And there are lots more people I am looking forward to meeting in the future, I hope that is sooner rather than later - I'm dying to meet my friends from here and one lovely man in particular. | |

Posted: 8/27/2007 12:02:48 PM | Been on here for approximately a month and I have not met or come close to meeting anybody, it's hard enough trying to get a conversation or replies, somehow that's probably my fault, maybe I'm too honest. maybe if I change my profile to Airline pilot or something and just try and cheat people into meeting or bedding me then I might have a chance, or even take my photo off.
I certainly have no problem with anyone meeting a hundred or so as I'm fairly shy and try to use POF as an ice breaker, I don't see the point in communicating on here for months and then finding that there is no real connection in person.
Just get out and meet each other, then nature can take it's own course be it a "romantic walk in the park" or just "take a hike" | |
