| What do you miss about being in a relationship? Posted: 10/1/2007 12:27:37 AM | Nyli, It's going to happen. You just have to be patient. You ARE beautiful- inside and out. You have to know that, even when nobody is telling you.
And that guy who's excited about you and carries you to bed and will be sitting next to you on the front porch helping you spoil the grandkids...? Well, you might meet him tomorrow. I sure hope it's soon... you both deserve it.

| What do you miss about being in a relationship? Posted: 10/1/2007 1:06:57 AM | The time spent at the store, lookin thru the cards till I found the right one jus for her- The little gifts I would surprise her with- Opening the front door, to that smell of home cookin goin on in the kitchen, knowing I got a mess to clean- Feeling useful, as I was needed to do the big jobs around the house- Talkin about what we saw, where we went, and what we missed, after a trip- The wonderful feeling each time we went to bed, and after we made love... The cute way she looked in the Mornings- Knowing what she liked and didn't- Surprising her in the shower, when she was not expecting me and ME- Helpin to clean the place up 30 minutes before the guesta arrived- Knowing it was not worth the time or energy to argue with her- Gettin a call at work, when she is missing me-

| What do you miss about being in a relationship? Posted: 10/1/2007 1:16:06 AM | Walking into the house after one hell of a week, to get a reminder that my birthdate is not on my drivers license (courtesy of the US govt being pithy about me not having a birth certificate).
Sharing the reason why I hate christmas with a fiery passion that means it takes everything in me not to poison the experience for my daughter.
Having someone that doesn't even drink coffee making me some first off in the morning because she knows how confusing all the cool electronics are when I first wake up.

| What do you miss about being in a relationship? Posted: 10/1/2007 10:41:42 PM | Having someone to make coffee and breakfast for. It seems wasteful to make a whole pot for myself. Then I will just drink it all and get wired anyhow... But really, being with someone adds a structure to my life that makes it so much less self absorbed. | |

| What do you miss about being in a relationship? Posted: 10/3/2007 8:24:18 PM | | I miss having someone that will be there when I am at the bottom to extend a hand to help me up. Or if things are really really bad, to get on his knees down there with me and just hold me until I'm ready to start the climb back up with him by my side. | |

| What do you miss about being in a relationship? Posted: 10/5/2007 8:48:32 PM | | I miss the mutual back rubs or scratches. Washing her back side from neck to heal. Sunday morning breakfasts and reading the paper together. Walking hand in hand, stopping, spinning her around and planting a kiss on her lips in public. Crying at sappy movies and trying not to let each other know. The secret glance, when someone else does something silly, and trying to hide our smirks. My hand at the small of her back when I open a door for her. Standing up when she comes to or leaves the table at a restaurant. Opening her car door and buckling her in. | |

| What do you miss about being in a relationship? Posted: 10/13/2007 1:40:05 AM | | I miss the longing for her when you’re apart, the fire for her when you’re together and the ache when you leave her presence. I miss the touches and the touching, the embraces and the embracing. | |

| What do you miss about being in a relationship? Posted: 10/14/2007 3:01:47 PM | | It has to be missing the closeness you have on a non-physical standpoint. Knowing each other's tone of voice, knowing what each other is about to say, seeing the look in their eyes and not needing words to communicate. Holding each other is great, but things you have to build together for lengthy periods matter most to me. | |

I miss having someone clean up the three dead lizards and the severed rat head and entrails the cats left me as a present.
Gack
You bust me up!
I miss someone changing the light bulbs in my 12 foot hallways.
Hauling that ladder up from downstairs almost kills me...

| What do you miss about being in a relationship? Posted: 10/18/2007 3:49:14 PM | Might want to talk to the folks at Home Depot. They used to have these long poles designed for holding light-bulbs for just that situation. See, most reasons for a man to be around can be fixed. | |

| What do you miss about being in a relationship? Posted: 10/18/2007 3:56:26 PM | See, most reasons for a man to be around can be fixed. Yep, in fact, I should write a book entitled, "101 ways around having to rely on a man". However, reading my book would leave women in need of counseling, realizing that being independent isn't as much fun as making a "Honey Do" list!
Edit/Addition: 04 has me pegged.... they're very helpful at Home Depot when you act clueless!

| What do you miss about being in a relationship? Posted: 10/18/2007 4:02:41 PM | ^^I'm in the process of getting my very own handyman/house mate who will take take of all of the "Honey Do's" except me. Maybe Cooky and I can barter handyman and Rafael's services. | |

| What do you miss about being in a relationship? Posted: 10/18/2007 4:13:01 PM | Well...I'm talking about close like, in person on a regular basis....
I miss having a bad day and sitting next to that person on the couch. Cuddling close and feeling like everything is better now.

You just made me snort my bread'n'butter pickle.
Do you think he would "do" me instead?

But the gist was that dogs are easier to take care of than guys.

| What do you miss about being in a relationship? Posted: 10/18/2007 5:34:53 PM | ^^^ Hey 04, no back-peddling allowed! Don't worry, you didn't offend anyone, you should know by now that us Cali chicks are capable of turning the best meant posts into meaning whatever we want them to, according to our mood at the time!
Is Raphael available around the 4th of next month?
