the fact is.. girls/women mature faster than boys/men. Many BOYS may act mature but that does not mean that thay are.
The same goes for men some act mature but still arent. Usually if a woman choses not to date a younger man it is because she is concerned or knows that emotionally he is or may not be mature enough for the stage that she is in in her life.
I, even at 18 would not date a younger guy. Around this age where were just turning into adults the maturity level varies and fluxuates too much to take a chance on.

Champ doesn't really want older women, as he puts it, he wants them as old as he or younger. Come on...get with it...Geesh!! Just kidding!!
But Janet, I've told him what you've told him... that he was good looking but he doesn't believe me. He thinks he's average. But I guess he just wants to date those who insult him or stand him up. He heads to Vegas a lot, maybe he can swing over to California.
I don't know why this thread says "Why are older Women not into younger guys!" Because this girl would definitely date younger guys. Not too much younger but 38 and up I would. Men are men, mature or immature at any age. You just have to know which ones to choose. BUT........ that's the hard part!! | |

Its the maturatity issues that come into play. and older man knows what they want where they are going in life and how to get there personally im done changing diapers just grow up and u will be surprised at what happens. | |

I am comfortable with a younger man.... my last relationship he was 6 years younger than I... but 19... I don't think so... What could we possibly have in common..But If you looking someone say... 25 and younger I would so OK maybe... but when I read what you have to say.. you sound much younger than 19 and that could possibly be the reason you are having trouble finding an older women..but I do wish you well..... | |

Nor do i like the steriotypical name for women that do!...again a pretty childish name.

Posted: 2/15/2007 9:40:01 PM | I think, as with anythiing, we can limit ourselves by setting criteria that might just be limiting and unproductive....I had never been comfortable dating "younger" men - mostly due to being in different stages of life (and men being fairly immature at any age  ) but have changed my mind about that recently.
There can be a connection that isn't affected by age alone, it's beginning to seem like it would be definitely counterproductive to not at least experiment with someone outside of your "comfortable age range". | |

I have found older women could keep up quite well and younger women had no idea what they where doing some times in a relationship. Their experience just in life was not enough to be on the same page as well as maturity. Now i will not put them all in the same boat because it is not fair and there are mature and life experienced younger women out there . So that was a tongue and cheek comment you made. I have dated older women and perfered it for a time because i found that older women where more stable, but as i have been on my own for some time i have found my self looking for women my own age or some times slightly younger. If an older women would want a really young guy you know its only for one thing from what i have seen in my life. I think it would be difficult to even be on the same page in many areas if the man was too young to the women. Also it could cause many different uncomfortable situations with her kids , family etc. Imagine being 12 years younger and you are only 8 yrs older then her son or daughter.. that would be a little bit different for the kids. so i guess it depends on how much younger, maturity levels, and life experiences.

Thatsa a load of crap.... 90% of the women I have ever met below the age of 25 were complete drama queens. While men for the most part, like to party and have fun later in life than women do, saying women mature faster is a statement you cant prove...
Like i said, most women i've met below that age are drama queens and worried about only themselves...
And no 18 year old, male or female, is mature... | |

until you are in your 30's, age difference is still a pretty big issue. As 5 years, makes a big differnce in terms of what you are wanting out of life. | |

Older women, once they've hit 30, will date younger men. It's all about life experiences and being on the same page, going in the same direction. I usually date younger men now but I wouldn't have 10 years ago. I have a +/- 5 years guideline but will make exceptions for the right guy. If a guy is too much younger then pretty much all he wants is sex. | |

Yeah, that says it all !!
I dated a younger man. He is 26 and wanted kids, I have a soon to be 21 year old !! This baby maker's done !!
But now I've been asked by a 19 year old, a 21 year old and a 32 year old if I was "interested" I haven't replied back to the last 2, but the 19 year old I told, No way !! You're younger then my daughter.. The thought of the 21 year old is scary !!
I'm going to be 40 next month !! But I had a great time with the 26 year old. I had been married for 20 years and was in the " Old and decrepit " mind set. He was fun and we did have allot in common. Being with him made me remember that age is just a # and that going out and riding quads on the beach was fun !! | |

Older women dont like younger men? Do the names Ashton & Demi mean anything to you!
Who cares about celebs? They are not what I think we all should follow by example. Or is that what most like to associate themselves with these days.
I think for myself because I am not at all really sexual and out to care about getting it on I feel I won't be a match for anyone older than me. I know women my age, 38, and older are starting their sexual prime and for sure look for a partner who will be on par with them. Makes some sense going younger for these women. But for those who do, is it more sexual attraction that matters or is there also compatibility in other areas? I know most women say the sex is amazing with the younge rman, makes sense as they are in their rpime and will usually rock your world. But is there more to it than that, that makes these younger men more desirable than men closer to your age?
I know many of us look old or do look our age but is that a bad thing, looking your age? | |
