| why don't woman wear pantyhose anymore?
Posted: 2/14/2007 9:30:44 AM | Well I've been told I don't need to wear pantyhose I have great legs and dont' cover them up. But honey when it's cold out side I where them. Oh at because I hate to feel closed in. So I do wear the garter belts and straps. 
But I really think Men should wear them they won't last a day with them. | |

I honestly believe it's an age/culture thing.
I notice men AND women that are quite a bit older than me consider pumps attractive. But I think they're dated and not that flattering. To me, they died with business women wearing houndstooth jackets with shoulder pads.

Like I said. Age and culture. Some things just get "stuck" and don't need updating to be found attractive to that person. What I want to know is, who's to blame for Ugg boots?? I don't think I ever heard a guy say "Damn that girl with the fuzzy moccasins is sexy!"
But somewhere, some time in the future, there will be someone saying "Why don't women wear those boots anymore?"
Also, I had a collection of eggs that I took from my mom when I was a kid. Those things were awesome to keep stuff in. | |

Posted: 2/14/2007 10:10:18 AM | I'm surprised at how many women find panty hose uncomfortable. In the summer? Sure! I definitely don't wear them to work, or out, then. But they're great in the winter. If all my underlayer pants are in the wash, I'll even put them on to go run in the winer. They're very, very warm.
But reading ubkobalt...I think some people might be putting them in the same class as granny panties. lol....I had no clue. | |

They don't wear pantyhose for the same reason we as men can now dress as absolute slobs and go to work. As a society things are a changing. | |

Also, I look horrid in just about anything that they'd be worn with. I also extremely dislike having to weasel them up every time I go to the ladies room. My legs are just not the type that are designed for being shown off. Besides, I wore them enough in my orchestra performing days - in the freezing cold at that. | |

The only time I wear hose are when I'm doing a public seminar or other event where it's expected for me to look dressed and professional...or if I meet a guy that "deserves" for me to suffer the dreaded hose or thigh highs for a "special date" ...so far in the last 6 yrs only 2 men have qualified  | |

Posted: 2/14/2007 2:37:22 PM | Thought I was caught in a time warp for a second, had to check the calendar. Nope, it is indeed 2007 and guess what guys..most girls don't dress for you anymore. We don't need to wear uncomfortable hose and 6 inch heels so we can "snag" a guy. Those of us who do still love to wear hose (and I am not one of them..chalk it up to so cal weather) mostly do it for themselves.
I am sorry that you are having to suffer the loss of something you found sexy. (ok, not that sorry), Personally I think guys in kilts are sexy as all get out but I too am left to needlessly suffer looking at men in poorly tailored suits. At least I would be more than willing to wear a kilt too...... | |

Posted: 2/14/2007 2:56:50 PM | It's an idea whose time came and went...now the trend is more to tights but those are only in the winter....why because they are warm....I live in florida...too hot and uncomfy for panty hose....besides why hide my legs....bare legs are acceptable now in the workplace...and if you have a tan or fake tan they look just fine...
some women can wear the stockings and garters or the thigh highs...i prefer bare | |

Have you ever tried wearing that stuff all day? The crotch is around your knees by noon...your stride gets smaller...start doing the geisha shuffle.
Going to the bathroom is a pain...takes 10 minutes to rearrange the outfit before you can take a leak...nevermind putting it all back together.
Knee highs, thigh highs...ooh especially the ones with the lace!!! yeah all about that!!! | |

Found an old pair, put them on and they caught on my nail and they were gone.
Ran out and bought a couple of pairs on the way... another one ripped while I was pulling them on and the last pair was dead by the end of the evening.
For me, they're one use only. I don't mind wearing them once in a while in the winter, but in the summer, I like to let my legs breathe! | |

Being a leg man you can't beat the feel of nylon on a woman's legs and if it goes higher all the better.
I have to draw the line when they reach up to the underarms....no bra...just pantyhose holding everything up.... | |
