In some cases, full intercourse outside of the relationship isn't considered cheating. It is only cheating if the encounter is anything more than sexual. There are many that feel anything they do sexually with someone other than their partner, as long as it isn't intercourse, is not cheating. That mindset is dangerous.

Anyone who says oral sex somehow isn't cheating - when obviously even flirting with someone else is a form of betrayal (including a degree of self-betrayal) - is just trying to have their cake and not only eat it too, but call it a healthy diet. Recently I was on a date with an amazingly sexy woman who was once at a kind of new-age religious retreat and encountered a couple in an "open marriage" who she made friends with. She was attracted to the husband, so when one night the wife nodded toward the tent where her husband was and told that single woman to go for it, she did, and didn't bother pursuing anything with the guy beyond that one encounter. After the date when she told me all that I emailed her and told her how wrong I knew that was, and pointed out that everysignificant choice like that in life is like a menu in a restaurant in that nothing is for free...ie. that there's a hidden cost to every indulgence, so we always need to keep it healthy and economical in a moral sense. The woman emailed me back, denying my point about all our indulgences coming at a price, calling me judgmental and saying I didn't know the whole story. She said it had been a "healing experience" for her and that the couple were very loving people. What do you say to moral gymnastics like that? How can you make a one night stand that crosses the marriage line into something else, just by re-framing it in your mind? That's like running someone over and saying it was alright because you learned a lot from it and so did they. | |

I've heard some people say, as long as it doesnt involve kissing than its not cheating, but i dont agree with that at all. if more people were to think like that, than more people who be doing other sexual things with other people, but cheating is cheating, no matter what it is, starting from kissing. it would turn me off more knowing if i was with someone and they slept with someone else, rather than if they kissed them either way it would be cheating, but sexuallness is worse than anything. | |

people seem to have an amazing capacity to 'justify' or 'rationalize' that whatever they WANT to do to get momentary pleasure, is somehow OK don't they?
like the women in a relationship with a man that say having sex with another woman is not 'really cheating' because it's not with someone of the opposite gender..
or it's OK to have' sex with someone other than your partner as long as it's "just sex" , just 'physical with no 'emotional involvement'.. ????

In addition, geopolitical conflicts are also causing a lot of stress and hardship. We must all face these problems together.
