| 2007 chicago cubs Posted: 7/24/2007 6:41:32 AM | | thanks man. It's 3 games now. the Brewers are gonna choke this week and the Cubs will be in first place by the end of the week. Everybody's getting hot at the right time. Does anybody know how kendall's doing so far? The only thing Ive seen from him is a passed ball and he failed to catch a popup. | |
| 2007 chicago cubs Posted: 7/24/2007 4:01:43 PM | | he has one hit that i know of for sure. i think he's like 1 for 7 with a couple of walks. | |
| 2007 chicago cubs Posted: 7/24/2007 6:03:48 PM | | It will take Kendall a while to get used to his new club. He will get it going by the end of the month. And thanks, sjm 86. I just havent had a chance to see him on T.V. yet. | |

| 2007 chicago cubs Posted: 8/6/2007 8:16:29 AM | | There was a really big scare for the Cubs in last night's game against the Mets when soriano was rounding second and he either had a hamstring problem or cramps on his right side. If he has a hamstring problem, he going to be out at least a week and that will really hurt the Cubs. If they want to overcome the Brewers in the division, they will have to overcome injuries like what happened to Soriano. | |
| 2007 chicago cubs Posted: 8/14/2007 1:47:51 PM | And Soriano is out for a while - I heard he could be back around Labor Day. The Cubs need to pick it up. The Brewers have been playing terribly on the road but the Cubs can't seem to take advantage!
At least Ramirez should be back tonight. This series with the Reds is very important.
| 2007 chicago cubs Posted: 8/14/2007 6:54:58 PM | | That sucks for the Cubs. They really need to pick it up without Soriano for three weeks or kiss the divison title goodbye. Raimrezs back tonight. Thats always a good sign for the Cubs. They are playing the Reds, who they will sweep, by the way. Everybody will contribute without soriano in the lineup and by the time he gets back in the lineup by labor day, the Cubs will be in the divison lead and he will help get them get that division title. | |
| 2007 chicago cubs Posted: 8/15/2007 9:03:45 AM | | this team has got to get back to its winning ways. granted, fontenot almost hit a walk off last night but when big z is pitching we shouldn't have to fight our way back into the game. this team needs to just flat out quit sucking. | |
| 2007 chicago cubs Posted: 8/15/2007 9:25:37 AM | How many million years has it been ??

Amen!!! they have really been stinking the joint up lately. I don't know what Zambrano's deal is, but he has really dropped off.
| 2007 chicago cubs Posted: 8/15/2007 6:26:48 PM | | they say that they'll move on even without soriano in the lineup but they haven't. they've only won 2 games without him in the lineup. i dont get what the deal with these guys is? they're all pros here, lets pick up the damn slack! like lee elia said back in the day "the name of the game is hit the ball, catch the ball, and get the ****@@g job done"! | |
| 2007 chicago cubs Posted: 8/19/2007 9:57:42 AM | So far this weekend they've beaten the Cardinals twice and are currently alone in first place! Let's hope they keep this up! | |
| 2007 chicago cubs Posted: 8/25/2007 7:09:14 AM | Cubbie baseball update: Soriano should be back next week against the Brew Crew. Perfect timing. The Cub's just picked up C. Monroe from the Tiger's. (good pick-up, because he hit's well against lefty's) It's now nearing September, and the Cub's are currently in 1st place, with a 1 1/2 game lead in the N.L. Central. Keep it up Cubbie's, all of Chicago believe's in you!
GO CUB'S!!! | |
| 2007 chicago cubs Posted: 8/27/2007 12:40:24 PM | | i'll tell you one thing, the cubbies need to get some extra padding on that lead. 1 1/2 games is just too close for comfort. i'll feel better if they can get it up to like 3 or 4 games. | |
| 2007 chicago cubs Posted: 8/28/2007 4:26:47 PM | | Well they have a chance to do that since they start a HUGE series with the Brewers tonight. | |
| 2007 chicago cubs Posted: 9/22/2007 8:26:52 PM | | the cubs won again today. their lead is now 2 1/2 games now. the division is the cubs. the brewers are done. they will slump. the cubs will take advantage of the brewers youth and run away with the division. | |
| 2007 chicago cubs Posted: 9/24/2007 3:35:54 PM | | hey can anybody say, "chicago cubs 2007 national league central division champions"? | |
