| Women and traveling Posted: 4/8/2008 6:28:20 PM | | Travel is a huge part of my life. Hopefully, I'll be jumping on dodgy buses, eating sketchy food in markets, and having lovely conversations with lovely people in far-off corners of the world when I'm 106. I couldn't possibly be with a partner who is not at least willing to travel, if not as passionate about it as I am. I have been with men who were not travel-minded, and it just didn't work. Willingness to travel is probably more important to me than most other characteristics, partly because to my mind someone who travels embodies many of the characteristics that I'm looking for in a partner. | |

Also I enjoy learning about other cultures, meeting different people. To me there's nothing worse than someone who is ignorant and geographically challenged.

| Women and traveling Posted: 6/19/2008 11:54:14 PM | I don't have this on my profile, but there is only one major passion in my life, and that is it.
To me, whats more important then a man actually traveling (abroad etc) is the mindset he has. When someone has been overseas, they are more open-minded, more free thinkers , more cultrally sensitive and to me, its very important to have those qualities.
I have worked abroad for the past 4 years, been to many countires.
I don't want to be with someone though, who (if we do travel ) can't enjoy the food, or culture of that other coutnry. I have beeen with people also who carry a strong Canadian attitude when travelling. No culture sensitivy whatsoever.
I need someone on the same wave length as me. They must appreciate traveling, even if they don't do it much at the moment.
Even though I have travelled, I have NEVER been a tourist, and I need for my partner to understand this difference.
