I got home late from work yesterday and the house was cold, and the furnace wasn't running. The pilot wouldn't stay on; so being the handy person that I am I changed out the thermocouple and got the house warmed up.

Now, I'm known to be quite the handy person, and own more tools than most men, but I'd love to dial 1-800-Rent A Man for cleaning my house and keeping the laundry folded and ironed, and the bathrooms clean. Anyone interested out there??

It really bothers me to think that an intelligent woman in this day and age cannot figure out how to hold a lighter and turn a knob to light a pilot light or put some screws in the wall...

...hell, rent ME...who needs a husband...maybe you could do some Christmas baking for me...remember men are good for only ONE thing

Aww H & P - I'm sorry that you seem to be getting slammed for such a good idea. I get what you mean.

Sometimes there's stuff around the place that I just can't do. Either I'm not tall enough, not strong enough or don't know how it works. I for one would like to see us POF'ers be able to bargain. For instance, did y'all know that I give wicked good massages?

LOL I am NOT putting a lighter near gas flame.... sorry if YOU think that is NOT intelligent.... In fact, I had a house inspector over and HE couldn't figure out my fireplace. But, there you go..

Meanwhile, having steady and good employment allows ME the luxury of having someone do the 'dirty work' for me...

So, back to the topic..... Renting a 'husband' has proven both successful, and VERY interesting. Good luck to those of YOU who chose to 'go it alone', lol

^^ pardon me but I thought the forum was for intelligent discussion.. ^^^ don't you have anything interesting to add???? Carl, your humor sux

It bothers me that someone would be stupid enough to put a match in front of a pilot light if they were not 100% sure of what they were doing. Hey, I think the person who calls the expert on this one has the brains.. yupp.. I really do! but, darlin, if you think you want to hold the lighter......... fill yer boots!

It will be Pigs in a Blanket!-Love it!
Cut in about six squares. Season ... process until all pigs are ready. Heat shortening ... one "pig in a blanket" at a time! ... more water... Serve over ....

waht took you so long to realize that five seconds

now by all means:
anyone who is stupid enough to realize that they are not 100% sure of what they are doing shouldn't play with fire at all, least of all have sex

now why don't you tell us how we get behind the friggin pilot light to light it, if the match in front ain't it??? I can just see it it, like you tell the furnace : now honey I want you to bent over I'm cummin in from the rear
Pilot on!!!! Match up, up strike , spark, ignition WOW!!! FIRE in the hole! and awayyyyyyyyyyyyyy

goin ....once
goin ...twice
SOLD!!!!

and the rent runt is on

I know I have a few things that need to be done around here, and I just can't find the time to tackle them.
