A response from an older woman who thinks what you said is *&%$#@ stupid!!!
First, you need to learn how to spell in your emails. Second, not all of us have kids. Since when is having kids thrilling? UGHHHH!!! AND, MEN DO NOT ALWAYS MAKE MORE MONEY A little full of yourself there Classyblondemale!
Lastly, just in case you aren't aware of it or not, WE ALL HAVE ISSUES!!!!! Wake up and get over yourself.

Im 24 and i believe that it is totally up to the individual to decide because, for one older women can actually teach alot of boys to become men by teaching how to treat a lady, #2 why do people pay so much attention to other people lives, it show you have nothing better to do, and #3 maturity doesnt come with age, it comes with wisdom... so life is short make yourself happy!

That was one of the most ignorant comments I have read! There are "some" women that make a lot more than a man, depending on her career choice. Not to mention the trauma drama comment you made! I am almost embarassed for you.

This whole discussion should be called " Inaccurate Generalizations"! That's pretty much the entire content. Personally, I think age is a man made ghost which labels each of us; society casts judgments based upon it and we ,in turn ,tend to allow it to affect us.It's the most ridiculous thing ever.We simply are who we are. Then again, I feel the same way about sexism, racism, and pretty much any form of discrimination. So maybe it's just me. However, since this discussion is asking for an age preference concerning the opposite gender, I'll put in my 2 bits. I like them all!

Get with the times...... things have changed in case you have not noticed...... Women are now making as much money if not more than men and are in a much better situation to have more controle over our lives. We do not have to stay home and be barefood and pregnant anylonger. I am a 59 year old woman who is dating a younger man..... Have you ever dated a older woman ? It seems you must of had a bad experience and have put a label on older women. We have a great deal to offer when in a relationship with a younger man. Years of experience . I quess you don't know much about dating older women..... My children are grown and independent of me. I have a career and can support myself I don't need a man to support me. I own my own home and am financially secure. There is no trauma or drama in my life and I have alot to bring to the table as you put it. You said go younger less issues .......I don't think so...... maturity is the key work here.

OK, Being that I am a older guy, my opinion is different. I have two male friends that go out with woman in there 40's. Both guys are friends of mine, they are in there late 20's. Well one isn't a friend anymore cuz the girl he is with, was a X wife of another friend . They were together for 12 years. Let me say this, she looks like a F*(^&(&g azz hole. The guy, who is a friend, is a total DOWN grade. Ladies when you dump your man, you move UP in to a better man, not done to a piece of garbage. Woman in there 40's hit mid life crisis. The want to still feel like a young woman so what better than to go with a guy that will pound the hell out of you till you can't see strait.
Now the other dream couple, she manipulates this guy till no end, he is another major down grade as a man and he has more drama and issues then anyone I've met, he weights 120 pounds just out of the shower with clothes on and with rocks in his pockets. The too look totally out of place, and he is a room mate so I see them all the time. And during sex, she sounds like a bad actress faking it in a really bad porn movie.

Wait, if your 59 an your dating a younger guy ................how much younger. At that age I don't think it's a big deal unless your 59 and he's 30 fine, but if it looks like the odd couple then eventually it will matter. I dated a woman a long time, was suppose to get married and she was 8 years older then me, but looked 20 years older she looked older than her age. One time she missed a step on the stairs and broke her ankle. At the hospital the Doctor said, looks like you'll be helping your Mom get around for a while, then the nurse came in later and said do you have your Moms Insurance card, we need her ID number again. I jumped for joy, she was pissed.

WELL... as I see it sometimes it is not your choice! I generally look to date men my age (I am 42 ) yet no one in that age group responds. The men who seem to IM me or whom I have met on POF, havee been 37 or younger, I was not searching for them... they were nice, attractive, fun, they want to do things besides lay around watching TV so I guess I really like that they are outgoing!

Lastly I don't think certain age groups generate more drama/trauma than others. I think its people who are mentlay uhnhealthy, who can't seem to "move on" from past life experiences that were not pleasant. They seem to want to rehash it with you, explain it to you,and walk around sad, mad or moody...they need to get healthy before they think about dating!! Pull up your boot straps and get over it. Find something positive to talk about then when you do have a bad moment or a genuine crappy day someone/ your friend/friends will be loyal enough to be supportive without feeling drained or brought down! Happens at any age!!
Peace

Young men desiring older woman, Hey, why not. Nothing wrong with it I quess.
But do consider either way it goes, it is a fantisy they wish to get fofilled.
with all these fantisies in both parties, forget about the regular guys and galls, who just want to meet some one, and any fantisies,? hey let them surface later after the two have gotten togeather and may want to chase them later on.

I think a relationship can work between an older woman and a younger guy. It depends on the people and how they interact. I think there would probably be a lot more of those relationships if it wasn't considered taboo. I mean there's a double standard in our society...it's ok for an older man to date a much younger woman but it really raises eyebrows if it's the other way around....and that's ridiculous. If I wasn't so damn shy around them I would date an older women..but that's my own personal issue.

Nope! I think he's a jerk...but I think you're great! And because I seem to draw so many younger men , I always 3dr degree them about their motives. I finally went out with a gorgreous, classy, smiling, attentive 31 year old and had the best date I've had in years. He held my hand, took me for lobster in the best niteclub/restaurant in the city, we talked for hours afterwards...no sex..and I will never forget that date I had said no to first, many times. He was more mature & educated than most men I've ever met, and I've been all over the world.: It's all about how you look at life.

Don't think couples Demi Moore and Ashton Kucher should get married. Geez! Any boy that age that wants to marry a woman old enough to be his mother doesn't know how to have fun with women his own age. Boys that like to play with girls their own age can figure out the rules of the game without any help from a book.

May December romances are good short term relationships worthy for the summer seasons. Generally I think men and women should date people their own age and learn to have relationships with their peers.

I prefer a long term relationship , nothing shorter then a year or 2,
of corse you gotta meet the person first and have a couplee get
to know you date s, don t like those summer fling s they leave you
wanting more ! LOLLOLLOL,

I have dated a number of older women. I am more drawn to their class than anything else. Not all have been experienced nor is that an Issue. On my part I like the conversation the intimacy and the 'less' baggage (though some still have them :D)

I prface it by saying, I don't need a parent figure :D

Amen, Rhonda! I'm attracted to a guy 12 years my junior and we get along fantastically (through IM's). Now, to make it happen in REAL TIME! Hey, I'm workin' on it! But, in the meantime, our conversations aren't immature in the least! He really "gets" me and never lets me slide on anything! I forget our age difference and it's a wonderful thing!
