Hi there, I've never gone to an event like this, are people bringing their children? Or is this an all adult type event?

I'd love to attend, but I can't either. I am usually out of town over the holiday weekend. I don't think there are any pavilions at Valley Forge Park. There are at Ridley Creek State Park, but they might be taken already for that date.

have fun, and I hope you have good luck with the weather.

In answer to the hotels Question - checkout www.valleyforge.org/ They have all sorts of info on hotels and stuff in the area. Click on the Visitors Tab, then accomodations, also check the Special Values and promotions page to see if there are any discounts. Teh also ahev alink tot eh park and to regional directions.

I hope this is an appropriate use here. this is a link to the Valley Forge Convention and Visitors Bureau website. I used to work for a different CVB website (or you can google it). hope this helps. CVB info is always free (paid for via taxes and business memberships - the only thing is, they are membership based - so if you don't see a hotel or restaurant listed, it is because they are not currently a member of the CVB).

Will there be enough picnic tables or should we bring chairs? Where should we park?
Have you decided on the section of the park yet?

Update on the picnic
It will be at the Lower Perklomen Park at Millgrove. It's just a couple of miles
west of Valley Forge on route 422.
It runs right next to the highway, you can't miss it.It is right at the Oaks
interchange. There are volleyball nets and a field for games.

I wish I could make this one....but already have plans. DAMN! But with the weather getting nice and warm, I'm all about road trippin'---I may hook up with some of you crazy cats later on this summer, if anyone has any other ideas......

Artsy....I'm going to try to make some of it. I have to work that day, but should be done by 4:00, so I might be able to come for a little while.

Ooooo I can't wait! I'll probably be near the DJ with the welcoming table. If anyone wants a nametag, I'll provide one, but if you don't it's okay. I'll make it an option.

Hi Everybody!! Dj Mike again! WOW! The list is really growing! 109 people! If everybody brings 3 friends, that over 300 people! ! I was at the park the other day, what a wonderful place to have a party! Lots of trails and plenty of parking. A lot of picnic tables, but bringing your own chair is a good option. Dj Mike.

A girlfriend of mine from Colorado is coming in around that time. We were planning to go to the shore but maybe we can come home in time for the event. Are there directions posted somewhere? Thanks.

Is there a meeting place for us at the park? I need to know just where to go with my friends. And what about the parking?

I haven't been to the park yet, but there's supposed to be ample parking. I will try to hang balloons so everyone will know the pavillion.

Since I'm older than 60 I can't email you directly. You BLOCK me!!

Anyway, what can I bring for Saturday? I can bring tables or chairs or food. If the latter, what is desired. Is it correct to assume that we should be bringing our own food and maybe something to pass? Is beer/wine ok to bring at this park?

Here is a link to a website with information about the park . I think the picnic pavilions are all the way in the back of the park .

Stu-
No alcoholic beverages are allowed, since it's a public park. Anything that you care to bring is welcomed! Since I don't know how many people will show out of all that have signed up, bringing extra chairs and tables would be a good idea. So far, we don't have any potato salad, but it's entirely up to you.

I'll bring some tables and chairs. I haven't figured out how to make a potato salad that I enjoy, so I'll pass on that.
