Posted: 11/28/2005 11:52:11 PM | hey i for one like tats on guys just not on me i don't like needles as far as beards go they are ok if the man takes care of them selfs a full beard i myself perfer the beards on the chin with a mustash guys with tats and beards look good . but why would you think that men with tats and beards scare some women , thats what i would like to know,?

I dont think that, I have no tatoos and dont plan to ever have any...not an interesting expression format for me personally,...I have seen some astounding ink on examples of both the human races (women and men) but not for me... I keep my beard no longer than one and one-half inches (and thats long) and just around one half inch in length...it is clean , it is trimed neatly, and because of this it is also fairly non-scratchy...and especially ...I have never had it "scare" any woman...
But of course I realize that personal tastes do play a large role here and do not expect womankind to simply fall to their knees in abject adoration of my facial hair...would frighten me if they did...But does this understanding that it will NOT get me instantly recognized as a "superior" male deter me from the wearing of it??/ Judge for yourself, My pic is less than three weeks old... I am not trying to impress anyone with a "beard" ...I a wearing one because I simply decided to stop shaving about twenty years ago...I recently stopped cutting my hair as well it is now shoulder length and quite gray and white ..except for the bald spot in back,...I figure if it is falling out, why help it by cutting it? and so I quit... Personal choice and trust me one that has gotten far more negative comments than the beard...
But you do not have to like either, wont stop me from finding things you say amusing , likable, and informative... | |

Posted: 11/29/2005 6:29:13 AM | Okay, I dunno, I don't mind a bit of a beard, and to be honest I think a man with a goatee is really sexy but a full beard? I dunno in general I have an aversion to alot of body hair, (I think it has something to do with the fact that in general First Nations people don't have alot of body hair) and men which full beards well just doesn't do it for me.
I subscribe to the idea of different strokes for different folks. If you like the beard, well keep it, yours is the only opinion that really matters anyway. | |

OK, did you ever see a dude with a big beard who is on top of the world, like mayby he has everything going for him and he just conquered a mountain or really has his act together. The dude looks awesome. I have met some really powerful alpha type males who have had the full beard and they do things like run sled dog teams or lead canoe wilderness expeditions or run their own farm or small business, or are leaders in research, and it is their PRESENCE that is strong, and the beard adds to their character. | |
