Posted: 11/29/2005 5:32:15 PM | well my ex use to nag me to shave my beard and then she naged me about shaveing my head to see what i look liked i finely said hey this is my face and my head iam not shaving i didn't nag her about all that makeup she wore. i took her for who she was on the inside not just on the out side heck in a few years you go bald any way lol why push it. so i only wear a full beard in the winter it keeps my face warm lol just kidding i just wear a goatee because i perfer it. | |

Men naturally have more body hair and facial hair because in primitive times they had to go out to hunt for days and weeks on end, they had to be protected from the elements and cold, whereas the women were in by the fire. It had nothing to do with attraction. Nothing used to have anything to do with attraction, it was all survival.

Posted: 11/29/2005 5:51:25 PM | I guess I have to add that I don't find beards attractive. Some guys look good slightly scrubby (Matthew McConaghey) or with trimmed and maintained beards. Some guys just look like they have pubes growing on their faces. And they itch. Girls like soft stuff.
Ultimately it depends on how the beard is worn, who is wearing it and why. I know, complicated stuff right?
It's easiest not to worry about trivial crap like this, if you're attracted, you're attracted...all there is to it. | |

I swear to God...there was butter dripping off this mans lenghtly beard...OMG..just the thought of a beard now makes my tummy turn. When I was little, I viewed God as dark colored skinned, perhaps like an Indian... Huge, I mean really huge muscles! Very tall, no beard, no facial hair.. I viewed God that if he walked in my door, he had a very commanding presence... Now that I'm older, I don't view God as an old man, but a form that has many colors, perhaps like a rainbow! I'm not sure he takes the form of a person as we know it...

Posted: 3/16/2009 12:19:02 AM | i have about a two inch beard now, i think when you grow a beard you have to realise that probably 50% of the women you walk past will instantly think "no way" just because you have the beard, but its my natural state, would you ask a male lion to shave off his beard, no way, he would rip off your head!!. So yeah, it means more women will say no to your advances, but juist means you have to try harder i guess!!.
for me its worth the sacrifice. | |

Posted: 3/16/2009 7:56:52 AM | I have a feeling that some men grow beards to look older. They feel that with age there is wisdom and so having a beard is a way of letting others know that they are wise beyond their years. Then there is that masculine look to consider as well.

One of my sons aptly admitted he was growing his beard because it made him look older. I think he is hoping people will stop carding him; after all, he is almost 22 years old.....lol.
I knew a man who always told me he was old and he sported a goatee and a mustache to go along with the way he felt. When he cut the goatee off he was so young looking.
As long as it is neat and clean, beards (preferably goatees) are quite attractive.
I don't like the five o' clock shadows too well. They are so itchy!! | |
