| what do women fell about full length beards on men? Posted: 3/20/2009 8:22:55 PM | I advocate full length beards and full length head hair, even if the head hair is going bald. When it goes bald, you can still grow the remaining hair. I feels that this gives me something to look at and something to touch. The hair moves and is eye-catching. People's hair colors are often slightly different tones and shades in different locations of their head and beard. The hair sparkles in the sunlight. Gray hair is beautiful also.
I also advocate this for afro-textured hair, although the results will be very different than for caucasian hair or other straight/wavy hair textures. I don't know enough about African hair to understand whether it naturally forms an afro or dreadlocks by itself when left alone. But I appreciate the natural African texture when it is not chemically straightened.
When kissing, you feel the tickling of the beard hair against your skin. When there's no hair on the man's face, there is much less pleasant sensation when he kisses you.
I think people are meant to be petted and groomed, like animals.
Men can only grow long hair and beards if they work in jobs that permit them to do this. However, they should be able to tie up their beards and hair neatly if it's necessary, in braids or a bun, to keep it out of the way.

| what do women fell about full length beards on men? Posted: 5/16/2009 8:20:38 AM | It's funny & psychologically interesting why women have such revulsion for beards on men. It's like saying that women are repulsed by the way a man naturally looks!
Now: We could get into the discussion of women & shaving their legs, armpits etcetera but speaking for myself - I don't care if a woman shaves her bits. That's up to her.
Some men grow beards to cover up some flaw they may think they have on their face - like a weak chin. Other men just like the way they look with a beard. Some men don't want to be bothered with shaving every day.
To suggest that they are trying to cover up some shady part of their personality is idiotic.

Just what is the natural selection that is going on that would have the human males grow such extravagances?
Well, since facial hair is related to the amount of testosterone being produced, I'd say the evolutionary process is one of perceived aggression. The hairier the male, the more likely he might be to aggressively defend his mate and progeny, as well as mate more frequently. Fairly straightforward.

| what do women fell about full length beards on men? Posted: 10/11/2009 7:44:39 AM | Just what do women feel towards the full length beards on men that grow out to their natural lengths? Personal opinion and preference, of course: I absolutely hate them.
For millions of years the full length beards on men must have been the natural state of things for the human species. For millions of years women didn't shave the hair under their arms and on their legs. For millions of years people had rotting teeth. For millions of years people didn't have deodorant. Etc., and so forth. None of these things make people, men or women, more attractive today.

For millions of years women didn't shave the hair under their arms and on their legs. For millions of years people had rotting teeth. For millions of years people didn't have deodorant. Etc., and so forth. None of these things make people, men or women, more attractive today. Sheesh, this is a woman who hates the human body -- male and female.
Guess what? There are quite a few women TODAY who don't shave their underarms and legs (and vagina). And you know what? It isn't gross. In fact, it's rather sexy!
As far as deodorant and perfumes are concerned, there is an entire thread on this in the "Sex and Dating" forum (do a search). You'll find quite a few answers from both men and women who don't use either and have absolutely NO problems by not using such products. Most of the excessive use of these products has to do with a psychological fear of our own body smells, combined with one heck of a marketing and advertising job telling us we need deordorants and perfumes. Really, for the most part, all you need to do is shower daily with soap and shampoo, and you'll be just fine.
I don't use deodorants or colognes, and I have never had one of my friends tell me that I should -- and trust me, my friends would jump at the chance to tell me I stink. But it's never happened, even during a hot and sticky summer.
As far as beards are concerned, I have a big massive one, as well as a big mustache, too. The key to a good beard is in the sculpting and trimming. I agree that there are some beards that have no style to them -- they're simply big masses of hair. But I've seen quite a few LONG ones where the person has taken time to give it an interesting shape (e.g., maybe cut into a point, or maybe squared at the bottom, etc.).
I also wash my beard with soap while in the shower and then wash it with shampoo. Virtually all people with a big beard are big on cleaning it, almost excessively so. A beard being smelly or dirty is just a myth. The Gillettes and Bics of the marketing/advertising world have created this notion that a man has to be clean-shaven. It's just not true.
You only need to go back 100 years or so (not millions) to see how CEOs and presidents had big, massive manly and majestic beards. If you look around today, the metrosexual craze has peaked -- the beards, y'all, are starting to make a comeback!
And lastly, as far as rotten teeth is concerned, that's a health issue, not a grooming issue. We have toothpaste with flouride, and by brushing and flossing multiple times per day, it's only in our healthy best interest to do so.
