| Let's go camping! Posted: 3/7/2007 7:45:51 PM | OK, Be nice. The Matrix is supposed to haul 1000 #. Now I wouldn't do that up or down much of a grade. College tuition and kids don't leave much.
Anyone heard of foldup campers? I saw them couple years ago, designed to be used even for bike riders.
Why would I need more than one bed?
Any offers? | |
| Let's go camping! Posted: 3/7/2007 8:11:20 PM | | Those would be the motorcycle campers. Teardrop trailers are right down there under the 1,000 lb. area too. The pop up camper I have is 1,500 lbs. | |
| Let's go camping! Posted: 3/8/2007 4:47:50 AM | | My bike trailer is about that much hen fully packed ... I have seen some that have a conventional hitch, so you might be in luck. Or you could just find someone to sneak in with and enjoy a bit. | |

| Let's go camping! Posted: 3/10/2007 10:56:35 AM | | Was in Mexico earlier this year, climbed parts of the volcanoes there, got to -25 below one night. Did not summit, but the group I was with did, was the only group to Summit due to the North Wind, they withstood a whit e out for an hour to summit. Am more of a tent camper, but used a mobile camper before, like to hike, got some gear. By the way any one intersted in climbing the Presidential Range in New Hampshire in the winter? | |
| Let's go camping! Posted: 3/11/2007 1:36:37 PM | | Since being retired, I have a project to camp at as many state parks here in Ohio as I can. I have 3 down, many more to go. | |

| Let's go camping! Posted: 3/12/2007 7:38:52 AM | Depending on the group setting here, I would think we could be family oriented to kids could join in. The future POFers group can mingle! For those moments of indiscretions we can go for a walk in the woods | |
| Let's go camping! Posted: 3/12/2007 7:41:02 AM | | I would want it to be a family event... Activities... things we could all enjoy.. | |

Camping here at Geneva State park, I remember the one weekend setting outside at the little amphitheater, and we watched Garfield the movie on a theater sized screen.
Someone could educate me on the making of s'mores too.

| Let's go camping! Posted: 3/12/2007 8:51:07 AM | I have a camper I keep at a campground up in Loudonville, OH...It is up by the Mohican. It is pretty nice and if we get enough people, I might be able to get some special rates. Check out the website below and they have a calendar of events on there. Tells when the DJ or like Kids Fest weekend, etc. You can canoe and there is also a pool. Just a suggestion........

Was thinking of selling camper!!! Anyone interested in a 2003 37' Layton travel trailer with two bumps?
| Let's go camping! Posted: 3/12/2007 3:40:00 PM | | I don't have camping gear....and she is allergic to bugs so camping would more than likely be out of the question. She doesn't go outside much. It would be nice but it would be a hard task to accomplish. | |
| Let's go camping! Posted: 3/12/2007 6:13:36 PM | Well if you change your mind I have an extra tent and we can bring lots of bug spray!
All else fails Kevin can give up his camper to you two and I'll share my tent with him... I wont' have to worry about bugs biting, just him
| Let's go camping! Posted: 3/12/2007 7:17:14 PM | | I'm a camping enthusiast now, I guess. I have 3 tents, a pop up camper, and getting a regular camper. I'll be able to supply a tent. | |
