BTW.....Need a sign up sheet.....Quick......I think a lot of people would like to go to this party!!!  Let's go  or should I say let's do some....

At Canyon lake they have lots of little cabins that we can all rent, that way everyone is close together, It has a lil better atmosphere. The river in San Marcos will have alot of college kids because of Texas State. I spent all of last summer there, I lived there. I vote canyon lake, and lets start checking out prices for the cabins. But thats just me.LOL | |

If we have camp sites on the river, it's best to reserve now..... I don't know about the cabins, but we should start thinking about reserving cabins and or campsite pretty soon due to the busy summer season. | |

Cabins or camping, who really cares, so long as it happens. A whole w/e of fun in the sun, me thinks it might be wise to get Monday off for sleep catching up and detox! | |

This could be a lot of fun, but I live here and the authorities are crooked and love to ruin people's lives and they will be out to ruin a good time if we act less than according to all of their rules. I live here, but have never done the river thing, and there ARE two rivers BTW, the Comal and the Guadalupe. One thing I know for sure is that if you guys want to come here you need to get a room booked immediately because they go fast and may already be full especially that time of year. And don't forget we have Schlitterbahn Water Park as well. I don't know where we could camp or stay but maybe I could check into it if enough people still want to get arrested for being drunk and having fun that weekend. I know for a fact that the jail here is one cold Martha Fokker in the summertime when all you have on is a swimsuit, but I guarantee it is not from personal experience, I just know these things! Let me know if I can help out.
I sure don't have enough bathrooms or hot water for all of ya's though, sorry. | |

IT IS POSSIBLE TO RESERVE SOME TABLES THERE IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN THE MUSIC THINGY. FOR THE LIFE OF ME, I CAN'T THINK OF THE NAME OF THE PLACE, BUT THEY DO HAVE REALLY GOOD BANDS. I CAN LOOK IT ALL UP AND FIND OUT WHICH BANDS ARE PLAYING AND POSSIBLY CONTACT TO GET TABLES RESERVED FOR LIKE THE SATURDAY NIGHT. ??????????????????????????? | |

Posted: 3/9/2007 9:02:57 AM | Nate, so that you folks know... the city of New Braunsfel is in the process of re-thinking that law/ordinance. As a matter of fact, there was a petition set to remove the councilman/men that brought it to life. So it just might be that it does get removed by the time Nate - you have your party.

Posted: 3/9/2007 6:57:07 PM | There are two rivers, the Guadalupe, and the Comal, both flow through New Braunfels, the Comal is man made. I am up for floating, or cabins on Canyon lake ( tents also, I have one)
There are a lot of rentals on the river, just takes time to check-em all out. I float down both rivers 2-3 times each summer. Ha, I never pay much attention. Here is a site for different tubing and camping locations on Guadalupe, they offer cabins and tent set ups, check out if anyone interested.
