Also, William Caxton probably discovered printing when he stepped in a dog turd and saw the trail his footprints.
How many people played "slaps" when they were younger? Putting a dog turd underneath made you very good at it.
A dog is not just for Christmas. You can eat it cold on Boxing Day

All I'll say is cats, they come and cr*p in your back garden, now why isn't that an offence?!!
Here is the boring but true one on that one Tim you cant actually be held accountable for the actions of a cat as they cannot actually be taught anything as such (hope that makes sense, it does in my head ) as a cat has almost freewill and can jump over high fences and so on. Whereas it is totally down to the owners 100% to keep a dog in conditions where is cannot jump fences etc

All dogs free to come and go at will, but if they poop.. they've shåt their last...

I'm not a cat hater but the double standards irritate me. Oh and my theory on the decline of the British songbird is the rise of working pet owners and consequently cats as it's easier to let them roam the streets rather than walking a dog.
Not having a go Foxy just a pet hate of mine (pun intended )

Thing is Tim, apparently, if you force your cat to be a house cat and it actually wants to get out, it can be determined as animal cruelty and you can be done for it
Its ok Tim, im a fox and i wouldnt poop in your garden, if i did though i promise to clean up with my pooper scooper

| Should dogs B barred from public places Posted: 3/17/2007 8:49:26 AM | I have 7 dogs.. and I am a dog walker too.. I also do Pets As Therapy work and visit local hospitals etc. I clean up after my own all the time.. and with seven it's almost a full time job. I always carry poo bags.. I hate stepping in it.. why should anyone else just because I couldn't be bothered.
However.. I live on a street where 90% of my neighbours are over the age of 75... there is one old gent that lives at the bottom of the road.. who has a small dog.. and I mean small!!! he walks it past my house every day.. and lets it poop outside on the pavement.. sometimes actually on my front steps. God does this grip me.. I have gone out there and had words on more than one occassion... he just looks at me blankly. I've given him poo bags and asked him to clean up.. and he wont. I let rip on Friday morning again.. and he said.. well you have 7 of your own... you wont notice a bit more!!!!!!!! The cheek of it! I could have punched him.. don't think that would have helped though.
So it's definatley a case of the minority giving the rest a bad name.. and age and expereince don't help either!

A neighbour apologised (sort of) for the little mounds on my lawn saying 'It's what cats do'. I felt like letting my dog loose in her garden and saying 'Sorry, it's what dogs do'. Seriously, I don't think dogs should be banned but I agree that owners should be penalised for not cleaning up after them. I am even now taking action against someone who has been letting their dog crap all over the gardens in my sheltered housing scheme. Actually, cleaning up isn't really good enough either. Dogs don't always leave nice clean poops and there are sometimes smears left, even after cleaning up. A park I know has an area for dog toiletting. That's a pretty good idea I think. ps to the person who says cats can't be trained, a friend of mine has done just that. But if its generally true, I would say ban cats. They're evil little creatures which kill and torment for pleasure. Oh, I forgot, it's instinctive. Well that makes it alright then...

| Should dogs B barred from public places Posted: 3/17/2007 3:06:21 PM | I have always cleaned up after my dogs apart from once. My Bullmastiff (RIP) never went to the toilet outside of the garden. She did one day though and I was most unprepared. Mind you it was outside the council offices so feck em, I left it. After all there bin men used to leave rubbish in my alley!!!!
The only problems with dog shite around here, where i live, is from holiday type people that leave there dog shite!!!!
Asa for cats. My neighbour has one that fecking well digs my chipped bark from borders onto my drive way. Has clawed my outside door mat up and has the audacity to lay on my Jaguar or Jensen. Neighbour has apologised for it. When I finally get hold of it I am just gonna kill it.!!
I do have 2 hibernating hedgehogs in my garden at the moment and they seem to be very clean. probably cos they are asleep though.

| Should dogs B barred from public places Posted: 3/17/2007 3:46:20 PM | I was walking on the oppisite pavement to a young girl yestarday and she had a big black Labrador crossed with a shetland pony I think it was..
Anyway this dog did its business on the pavement and she pulled out of her pocket a small blue pooper scooper bag..
It was funny to watch as I thought a bin liner would have been better, but she fought on till she cleaned it up..
