I dont agree with some of the tesimonials i see on some profiles, they state that person is so nice, when i know different..its as if that person has two personalities, the side they know and the side i know...

Like my mum always said. "If you've got nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all..."

I think its a bit odd to see testimonials left when the people obviously havn't even met. I see some people have testimonials from people in other countries and they say that they have never even met the person they are writing about.

Yeah, I agree, Nancy.

I think testimonials should really be written by people you have met, in person, face to face, in real life, so that they can actually verify that you are whowhat you say you are.

I'm not sure I'd take the word of someone who "has been talking to this person on line for over a week now" (yes - I've actually seen that in a testimonial!)

I have equal Testimonials from both male and female i think with the exception of one person have met everybody else to write me a testimonial.

As I'm only here for the beer, well for the meets.. I have made a few friends at the meets which I have written testimonials for and they have wrote them for me.

I do think to have all your testimonials written by people you have never met is strange

I have read a few testimonials that people have left on profiles and they are nice. What i want to know is if you have had a bad date with a guy should you put this on their profile?? Like if they have lied to you or only after 1 thing and you thought they weren't. Found 1 the other day someone left on a guys profile and i thought how brave of them. Is it just spite or should other women be warned and then left to make up their own minds about the person??

I only have two points on this

1. No matter how truthful you are it will come across as sour grapes and probably actually win him some sympathy from people under the "oh poor you" guise...

2. They can delete it so why bother

I think people should be able to make their own minds up about a person.

But I won't lie, I've been played a couple of times with guys on here. And thought I would leave an alternative testimonial for them. Ha ha one of them didn't know how to delete it.

Pathetic? Childish? I shouldn't have let him know he bothered me?

Do I care? Nope, and what's done is done.

I've only ever left a couple of testimonials and they have been for people I have met I think..............

Certainly now I would only write them for someone who I had met in real life.

I only have one testimonial and that is from someone I have met, and a very nice one it is too.

I really don't understand the ones from people who have only been chatting for a few days.

guys ( not girls as much ) if you want quite high testimonials and even if you are pretty "average"........get your self down to ameet, and mingle with the laydeeeezzzz.

from what i have seen from some of the "mr average" profiles......IT WORKS

I instantly click away from a woman I see who has testimonails from men who have test driven her. Not appealing at all. And they are all the same

"well what can i say about x......treat her like a queen otherwise I'm gonna beat you up!"

Having been here a few months now and read a number of testimonials I would be of the opinion that most tell you far more about the author than they do about the subject....................

Having reached the stage - NEVER having asked for one, where the testycolonials (one from Canada!) have reached a length equal to or greater then the profile itself - with two gone, because people have left the site - just thought I would illicit some views.... Good or bad thing?

Not one is talking about the size or rapidity of my little thing, of which I'm mightily glad!

Hate testimonials full stop! They often start out "What can I say about this guy/girl" so cheesey and frankly make me cringe.
