| How Do Ladies Feel About Guys That Can Cook Posted: 12/24/2007 9:59:11 PM | LOVE 'em! My Man cooked for me on our 3rd date (and he cleaned as he cooked). I surprised him with a big pot of gumbo on our 4th (with enough left-overs that he didn't have to cook when he came home exhausted from work the next few nights). 5th, we cooked breakfast together.... yeah baby!
A man who can and does cook? Totally sexy!
(And yes, I did clean as I made the gumbo, too.... and then whipped up some chocolate chip cookies for him too)

| How Do Ladies Feel About Guys That Can Cook Posted: 12/24/2007 11:12:41 PM | A man that can cook is a real man to me! It also tells me he is able to take care of himself and is not looking for a "mother" to date.
The one thing I have learned about a man who can cook is...it can be loads of fun cooking together! It can be great foreplay to intimacy. Plus, it is just nice to have someone who can do the cooking for a change.
I'll take a man who can cook! Sign me up!

| How Do Ladies Feel About Guys That Can Cook Posted: 12/25/2007 5:57:09 PM | | Some men are forced to learn how to cook, (to some degree) when they move out and live on their own. When I first moved out of my parent's house and started going to College, I barely knew how to make a sandwich. I was so used to my mom preparing all my food for me. but she was not there now. and living off Kraft dinner and chef boyardi was really starting to get to me. I needed to learn how to cook atleast some stuff. I can cook a few basic things like pasta, eggs, and some other stuff. (I once made lasagna that turned out pretty good but my sister was coaching me over the phone) but I still have a long way to go. I'm still not that great of a cook. Most women are probably better cooks then I am (then again that's not very hard) I also don't like cooking for other people because it may be good enough for me to eat but not them! I'd rather just order in or take her out to a nice restaraunt then take the risk. I earned the money I'm using to pay for the food it's still effort lol. A man who can't cook only bothers a woman if she can't cook herself! or vice versa. It's important atleast one of them have decent cooking skills whether it's the man or woman, otherwise they'll go broke because they eat out so much! It's also about equal contribution in a relationship. If she cooks for him, he's got to pull his weight by doing housework mowing the lawn paying the bills fixing the car etc. and vice versa. | |

| How Do Ladies Feel About Guys That Can Cook Posted: 12/25/2007 6:16:08 PM | "Cooking is a very basic life skill, if a guy cant cook how f'n r*tard*d is he? What else can't he do, read? I think that a guy cooking is not something to be considered an asset or something to be applauded, it is like saying "oh my god, he is so awesome, he can wipe his own a$$- you go boy!" Well anyhoo, I might be a bitter woman lol but hey if he can't cook he is a LOSER. "
Wow... you are bitter so you'll judge a guy who can't cook but not a woman? Sounds rather hypocritical to me.
GIRL: "You're a loser you can't cook" GUY: You can't cook either so how are you any better?" GIRL: "I can cook" GUY: "That's questionable, and even if you can what does it matter if I can't cook or not?"
around and around circles we go...

| How Do Ladies Feel About Guys That Can Cook Posted: 12/26/2007 6:17:12 AM | My ex could cook. In fact, we both did. Our friends would watch and marvel as we worked together in a small ktichen as if we were choreographed performance.
I've been on dates where the guy cooked for me. Kewl and well received.
My current bf does not cook. But he sure appreciates my strength in this area. It's not a dealmaker nor dealbreaker for me.

Hell yeah, bring it! If he cooks and cleans, I'd be a very happy girl.
Watching a guy cook for you is very hot! A man after my own heart...... oh, the cruelty of POF. Does this mean I will have to add this to my profile of what I am looking for?

| Parula Posted: 4/27/2008 6:50:49 PM | | Finally a woman thats 50/50 with it. I love to cook, but if I cook the meal wash the dishes why not just vacum mop and do the rest. I dont think so, I cook for her beacause I like her, if the lazy B@#$% sits around on her ass and tries to take advantage of the situation unless shes sick shell be out the door with a shoe print on her ass. | |
|
| Parula Posted: 4/27/2008 7:01:01 PM | | Alright, this goes a different couple ways here. I love to cook and bake, I'm good at both and I'd do it any day of the week for anybody in my life. However, if I'm out workin all day paying the bills and my woman is sitting at home, I honestly expect that dinner is waiting for me at home. If your both out there workin though, it doesnt matter, I'll cook, you clean and vice versa any day of the week. | |

| How Do Ladies Feel About Guys That Can Cook Posted: 4/27/2008 7:58:42 PM | Ah, there is nothing more delectable than seeing a hot guy cooking over a hot stove. Even better with an apron and a beaming smile. :glow:
I dated a culinary arts student once and the food was AMAZING! Many guys I've dated who said they could cook did so by preparing food...not actually cooking it. Hey, if they're feeding me I'm not going to quibble and will happily accept what is put in front of me. Still, it was odd when someone would equate cooking with prepping. I kept my mouth shut of course. At least he was trying and I didn't want to look a gift horse in the mouth. Men cooking is a beautiful thing.

| How Do Ladies Feel About Guys That Can Cook Posted: 4/28/2008 7:07:40 AM | Men are such wonderful cooks! My own son is a Chef. A guy who can throw his heart into his cooking is worth his weight in GOLD!. Scene from 'Good Friday at my house'.....OK mum tell everyone I'm going to plate up now and service will be in 5 minutes. Plate up? service? | |

| How Do Ladies Feel About Guys That Can Cook Posted: 4/28/2008 8:31:18 AM | I love a guy that can cook but I think what I like most, is being in the kitchen with him while either of us is cooking. My ex would cook a lot and we'd have the best of times in the kitchen with kisses, touches, caresses, etc. Sometimes we'd get distracted and burn dinner but that was ok, too. I found the best to be something that could be left to simmer or roast for a while (so we'd have time to fool around before dinner was done). Cooking in the kitchen (no matter who is cooking) can be a great time.
I like to cook (hate the cleanup by myself though) but would certainly enjoy a night off while he did the cooking. I also like the idea of taking turns cleaning up or doing it together. Sometimes seeing him bent over the dishwasher was hot!
I think part of the enjoyment is the fact that the man went through the trouble to prepare the meal (no matter what it tastes like).
When I first moved out of my parent's house and started going to College, I barely knew how to make a sandwich. I was so used to my mom preparing all my food for me.
Too funny. As a mom of teen boys, I'm trying to show them some basics. But at 14, they're limited to frozen pizza, sandwiches, hot dogs & nachos. They have no interest in learning to cook. I can picture them doing the exact same thing

I don't care. If he can't, so what? If he can, that's nice. Either way, I've been skating by with my cooking inability (and lack of desire) alone just fine.
Hummm so you like mickey d aka fast food better ,ok

| How Do Ladies Feel About Guys That Can Cook Posted: 4/29/2008 1:04:30 PM | Not sure if this is the same thread I replied to a week ago or not...but seriously, why ask???
What woman in her right mind is going to dislike a man with kitchen skills?
I have never heard a woman complain about a boyfriend who actually did something "extra" around the house...so I have to question the need to ask this question???
I think the answer would be obvious.
