Posted: 10/26/2007 7:32:44 PM | | I agree there are great people with this disorder, Vivian Leigh of Gone with the wind had it and did wonders in her life but she has problems in relationships. Ted Turner is Bipolar. The problem is Bipolars are different, some have more mood swings than others, Behavior can be an issue when a person is going through these mood swings, heck, thats how they diagnose the illness and tell when your having an attack, there is no blood test, It determined by behavior. (Good or Bad) Its a level somewhere past normal. Even the doctor will ask the family to observe a bipolar person for changes in behavior. Medication can help control the severity and extent of these episodes but sooner or later they will raise their head. | |

I think the problem is that bipolar happens as a young adult and parents don't have the control at that point.
