we can't use our five senses completely. You see, we are trained
from childhood how to interact socially from babyhood to college
We especially learn during the formative years (3 - 7). In a real-life
situation you may see someone, and get a reasonable feel about them
from their presense (looks, body language, gaze, electromagnetic
output, vibes, dress, speech, etc.) However none of those factors
on which to judge exist on here. Maybe you see a photo, but it
may not be totally acurate, and a photo can't prove what real
3-D does. Written text is also deceptive. I think most women and
some men are afraid to meet or even respond to someone, and then
find a big surprise later because the basic factors are missing
which we usually use to judge whether we want to start something.
Most people traditionally have met in School, Church, Clubs, Family
Groups, or just got introduced (kind of like a referal in business).
These were basic filters which gave us a level of comfort, in knowing
that those who were co-workers, co-club goers, co-students,
co-churchgoers were one of us, there would be some level of familiarity
psycologically speaking on which the build a bridge, and the probability
of running afowl should be less, didn't say non-existent, just less.
Have any of you noticed there are two types of social environments???
Public places like restaurants, coffee shops, downtown, etc. and there
are social groups, like church, college, rotarty, high school, etc.
It is very hard to meet someone as a total stranger in a restaurant in
public and start something, They might think you're very perv!!!
THERE IS NO SAFETY NET IN THE GENERAL PUBLIC
but you can always talk to other members of your social group. After all,
they are one of YOUR GROUP. You can't just approach strangers in the general public for dates. The internet is sort of like a social group, but isn't really,
because there is no physical proximity. It's a hybrid between social group
and general public, that's why everyone is so confused.
This whole internet thing is new and didn't exist when most of the
people on here were growing up. We need retraining as a culture
before we might know how to act in this artificial medium if we
want maximum results. Until then there will be quite a few who
don't find anything, cause it is very, I mean very hard to do on here
Seems like a needle in a haystack! I haven't had any luck yet, seems all
the women aren't my type, or are just plain hesitant to even try me.
It's for the reasons I stated. If we can't program ourselves to take

First of all, this is a DATING website! Most men on here aren't looking for thier mother, sister, or daughter! They're looking for happiness in the form of a potential mate.  And there are those who are just looking for booty. Which is perfectly acceptable in a dating site that has that option.
