Posted: 5/18/2007 8:28:28 PM | | Thats nothing my date farted right at the table put the silverware in her purse, reached over grabbed my burger and began to eat it. It's not the scratching. It's scratching so much and not knowing she should have explained or apologised or something. All that dead skin under her fingernails is gross. Then to top it off she licks the same fingers. Ok so maybe she washed her hadns in the bathroom but licking your fingers makes lots of people uncomfortable. Everyone knows that don't they?? Why would you do two things that everyone with basic good manners knows are bad manners and not make any aoplogies. That's why I said she's clueless. Is that what you want? Ok, go on a second date then let us know how it goes. Oh that wouldbe bad manners too. Pity, I really want to know. Oh no, being nosy is bad manners. Oh heck - ignore me - what do I know eh?

It was pointed out to me(rightfully so) that my last profile althought only an attempt at humour might be looked at as me making fun of the less fortunate, this was never my intention i would never for a second think of doing such a thing. Naturally i have now changed my profile, hopefully this is a better reflection of me.
Each to his own but I really miss that profile of yours. I hope you kept it somewhere as a terrific piece of tongue in cheek writing. Did it ever occur to you however that the 'finger licking' may have been her attempt at picking up on the humour in that defunct profile re the 'KFC special' date?
Actually you started this so long ago I now realise that you're probably long married to this lady with 3 kids and a dog.

maybe she found some part of you she didnt like before the meal and started doing the scratching to spook ya...when the meal came the over-the-top finger licking smacking was just enriched tapestry to add to the scratching...
really tho..i think its so trite to make assumptions and not out-right ask the questions people are so dying ask of someone else. we all know what happens when we make assumptions...

Better not wonder whether she washed her hands in the washroom before licking those fingers ... Was this a way to get out of a bad date, I wonder... you say, you're seeing her again... whose initiative? yours? better be careful, it might be a repeat

Don't get me wrong...doing a search is a good thing rather than starting another thread on the same topic.
I'm just curious what words were used to search to bring this thread back to life.
It would logically require 'scratching' since there are tons of threads on dinners.

| we just started dinner and she is scratching herself. Posted: 10/20/2008 10:43:07 AM | | ..............UGH!............. Reminds me of an experience I had. I emailed and talked on the phone with a guy for 3 months. We were 400 miles apart and when we met everything was great until dinner. He picked his teeth and made sucking noises. I was appalled and so embarrassed as others watched and laughed. That was it: no matter how much we connected I could never get beyond this behavior. | |

Sounds like she has a bad case of fleas and has been on the end of a chain too long! She doesn't know how to eat like a lady because she has been treated like an animal. After all that licking and scratching there would of been no dancing either. I would of said I had to use the bathroom and left. Logical explanation? Lol
