Brizo...a lovely rendition of life as it is!

first, last and eh, somewhere else...the mind is the first thing to go....

It's a wonderful night!
I wanna shake ya like a boomerrang
Your eyes make me feel like a narcotic
Can I get it on credit...shake it as long as we make it?
It's a Wonderful night...
Gotta shake it for me...
break it on down...
My baby...life is flyin' like sky
See the light...rise on in...
Sisstah...my hold on you is Real!
Gotta a pearl in my head...
Chemical brainstorm...makes you seal
the deal..and we wonder what we are?
mY BABY! I am no SuperMOdel
Wanna love me? or just mess wit me?
Shake it ...break it down
I am quiet...
likin' your sound!

Let Her Cry

Its alone by a lamppost Trying to find a thought that's escaped her mind. She says dad's the one I love the most But Stipe's not far behind. She never lets me in Only tells me where she's been When she's had too much to drink I say that I don't care I just run my hands through her dark hair Then I pray to God you gotta Help me fly away And just let her cry If the tears fall down like rain Let her sing If it eases all her pain Let her go Let her walk right out on me And if the sun comes up tomorrow Let her be Let her be This morning I woke up alone Found a note standing by the phone Saying baby, maybe I'll be back someday I wanted to look for you You walked in I didn't know just what I should do So I sat back down and had a beer and felt sorry for myself Saying let her cry If the tears fall down like rain Let her sing If it eases all her pain Let her go Let her walk right out on me And if the sun comes up tomorrow Let her be Let her be Let her cry If the tears fall down like rain Let her sing If it eases all her pain Let her go Let her walk right out on me And if the sun comes up tomorrow Let her be Oh... Last night I tried to leave Cried so much I could not believe She was the same girl I fell in love with long ago She went in the back to get high I sat down on my couch and cried yellin' Oh momma, please help me Won't you hold my hand and... Let her cry If the tears fall down like rain Let her sing If it eases all her pain Let her go Let her walk right out on me And if the sun comes up tomorrow Let her be Let her cry If the tears fall down like rain Let her sing If it eases all her pain Let her go Let her walk right out on me And if the sun comes up tomorrow Let her be Oh, let her be.

Let her be...

^^^^^^what's wrong, friend? This was written for Autumn when she left POF and we didn't know if she'd come back. It seems appropriate now, if I've posted it twice, sorry folks...like I said, the mind is the first to go....

autumn silence

gentle friend
your tree dropped seeds
of ideas
inside my heart
whose growth
can never be halted
words like leaves blossom,
shelter and drop,
blazing jewels -
that carpet inner space
so lie fallow if you must
healing energy stored
for your regeneration

Brizo...that was a lovely tribute to your and mmmmmy friend, Autumn!
You have such a lovely way with words!
Woobs, sometimes we all gotta weep. Some days more than others, it is all just too deep! both of you!

Wanna get up in the morning
Just laugh and smile
Throw my worries somewhere
no one can find em!
Smell all the flowers , enjoy every drop
Rip off all the cobwebs that make me doubt
Sing a happy song so loud that it shouts!
Somedays are like this , we all know it's true!
Other days bring news that makes us all blue.
If not for the good days what would we know?
For without the good ones, only pain and hurt shows!
It gets sometimes hard just to forget somethings hurt
Yet the Goodtimes are something of beauty and worth!
You all make me smile , whenever I'm down
Thats exactly why, I do stick around!

Well, don't go anywhere, mmmmmy.....I'm sad enough already. You aren't the only blue one Autumn, Sophia was a definite grace note out here, classy and lyrical....

Woobs, thanks for dropping in....I just watched "The motorcycle diaries" - I need to get that soundtrack....

Sophia

ah, it is the manner of this place
that causes you to fall in love
with another's grace
it matters very little
male or female
the ties that bind
are formed from mind to mind
and so it is with sadness
we watch you turn and leave
forgive us, lady
we wear our heart upon our sleeve

One by one they leave the pond
As spring prepares for change
I went back over a year of poems
And miss those nights we challenged
Our minds to follow the myriad thoughts
We concocted out of life
Where has the year gone?

I wonder if there is a balance
Between living and writing
Duality of wind and rain
Sharing words with meaningless phrases
That some how paint our lives
Into existence and friendship
It once seemed so simple
To find inspiration
With so many writing magnificent verse

I feel like a child who has lost her way
In a sea of new faces
That will never know the heartfelt significance
Of trading feelings
A needle in a haystack
Without the wordsworths and protagonists.

Sorry to hear that a great poetess has left the pond, I am not sure of reasons but I do wish Sophia well in this path she now takes.

Change

As seasons so undeniably change
so do we in life it seems
paths flow so variably
hungering minds need to follow longed for dreams
yet as I grow older
realize do I that bonds made must be kept strong
no matter where my steps shall wander
to leave those who have touched me would be wrong
for I believe within these pond waters
a fellowship of hearts reigns so very deep
to leave those I hold dear behind
would cause my needing soul to weep
look forward do I greatly
to read words expressed by all of you
engrained you have all become
within my heart so true.

Does it really matter?"

Guess I forgot my keys
Can't get in , can't get out!
Bottom lip is dry and wet
at the same time!
Guess it doesn't really matter
I am my own jet, you are not my home!
We'll get around the world
somehow!
All alone!
Build in the light
yet Darkness happens
The rest doesn't really...really
Matter!

*sigh* Being a Taurus, I'm not too fond of change, especially when it's accompanied by loss....now, when it brings me GOOD things.....

paper

put thoughts down on paper
so later, privately
words tread with masterful intent
upon my interior
I will trace the strokes,
think of your hands
and shiver

Loved this, brizo, and it reminded me of this, previously posted elsewhere:

Touch

Touch is the noun and verb of the heart.
Not all the words that you or I
can murmur, sing or shout
-–hoarse with eloquence, mad
with truth--words that beseech
or beckon or command,
can equal the touch,
in passing, of a friendly hand.

Jer, no one commits anything to paper anymore...will handwriting become obsolete? It would be a shame, since it seems (to me) to be intimate and personal. But I have to confess, I compose now on a keyboard.....

Thanks for leaving that poem, I had seen it elsewhere. I think sometimes our bodies know how to transcend the external. A few times I felt I had "lost" various partners, who had become cold eyed strangers...but "stripped down" to nakedness seemed to bring us back to our origins as a couple, and reveal that we had misplaced touch, literally "lost touch" with one another....

I bequeath

these I leave to you
warm breath on your ear
nipples rising in your hand
a drop of longing on your sex
swollen lips from kissing
lifted hair, bare neck
undersides of breast
hollows of inner thigh
silk stockings
beckoning perfume
thunder hearts
sugar sighs
ragged breath
ease inside my womb
let erotic spark consume

Re message 1288:

Reading between the lines
I sense something erotic here
or is that the effect
of my not having had 'any'
in too long a while?

this was written for Daily Poet, humor is truly my muse.....

resistance
fake
quirk
eyes so blue

eyes so blue

I confess you're my guilty pleasure
your eyes so blue seem to take my measure
I think you smirk at my little quirk
but I must admit
the obsession's a fake
I'm the number one fan of a genuine man
and you remind me of him
his eyes would make me weak in the knees
have mercy, please
I can muster no resistance
my heart just thumps with it's insistence
so I look at you every now and then in stealth mode
shallow, well, I know
but I can't yet shake my genetic code

Since it's getting so hot in here. . . .

Ah, how I wish to

Take your hand
and put it

Run my tongue
along your

Quiver at the
touch of

Feel you
in

goodness, Woobs....or er, naughtiness Woobs..

think I'll continue the theme with a couple from Ravin's limericks thread

messy sex

it's disorderly anyway
no matter what name you may bray
if you think that it's not
then sleep in the wet spot
and then we'll see what you say

don't think that we don't know your game
to avoid the same spot that you came
roll around a bit more
and you may hit the floor
the lengths some men go to are lame

Men don't have to find that dry spot
for into slumber they disappear
it's as if someone pulled the switch
contentment as a babe full and clear

We on the other hand are lying in a pool
of our bliss
squiggling this way and that
until we find our little groves
the lights fade slowly
as our minds try to imagine
the last kiss
over and over again.

(I couldn't resist the fun in here tonight)

Autumn, I tend to graze afterwards....I always crave a steak or something....so while he's sound asleep, I'm wide awake and prowling the kitchen....

Dance, young lovers, dance
and shame them with your beauty
even the hardest heart
smiles at your brightness
your newly minted shine
lost in yearning
for once upon a time

first, last

Working up an appetite
Too excited to sleep
Letting the darkness lead you
To the bed out under the stars
You wonder
How anyone can fall asleep
When the sky is so brilliant
With all your sighs
And the glow inside
Is fresh like the morning dew.

(Ok truthfully - a wind down time is needed before sleep - especially with an over active imagination)

Back away from "the rabbit" sweetie, or we'll have to do an intervention....

**********************************************

abstruse [adj] difficult to understand abstract, complex, deep, enigmatic, esoteric, intricate, involved, muddy, obscure, perplexing, profound, puzzling, recondite, subtle, unfathomable, vague.

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."

"My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind."

"Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods."

"God does not care about our mathematical difficulties. He integrates empirically."

all quotes by Albert Einstein

human vanity = insanity

I read the scientific news
I look to winking stars
revealing clues
but they glow on
enigmatic, abstruse
hiding in plain sight
a recent find
the universe approximates
a bubble
hmmm
the trouble with that
is bubbles pop
we'll never get the drop
on this
perhaps we live
in bliss
while many uncountable
light years ago
already some witnessed
the end of the show
with the speed of light
how would we know?
and when we look at stars
flung far and wide
it boggles to imagine
some have died
so really what contains reality
what is
or what we still perceive to see?
or is our universe
inside a sphere
that hangs as decoration
on a tree
or pendant worn
around the neck
of all we dream to be?

all bleed red

If we all just left our hearts to bleed
the world might be a bloody mess
we might just all be hugging trees
and learning to make do with less

If we all just left our hearts to bleed
our pigmentation might not matter
just colored thread in cohesive weave
and a chromosome in creation's ladder
