| Waiting 'too long' for sex - what is 'too long'? Posted: 3/17/2007 2:23:48 PM |
This form a lady whos profile reads
"first date, dinner pub then bed"
Maybe her background in marketing coming to the fore. You wouldn't happen to be talking about me there now would you gentleman glenn? I am flattered you took the time to read my profile but I wish you'd read it properly or more completely, I happen to be a 26 year old MAN. Where does it say that I would be dragging some lady back to my bed on a first date ? I'll be heading for my bed alone after walking her to the bus stop so she can catch her bus home, sheesh !

When your both ready to have sex then it will happen. If I like the Lady then I'm not going to give her a time limit that would be wrong, obviously we're not talking waitng for years here. But showing someone respect and getting to know them as a person.

| Waiting 'too long' for sex - what is 'too long'? Posted: 3/18/2007 6:51:50 AM | In a time before I knew about the internet, I remember meeting someone at a New Year bash. Which was out of town for both of us and we did not live in the same town. Any way I managed to get her number , or mine to her about 3 weeks later. We then spent nearly every day on the phone to one another for at least half an hour, often longer.
I was invited up to hers for the weekend, which would have been our first date, she was ready to have me as a lover then, I was trying to be a gent and show her it was not all about sex and slept in the spare room, so the short of it was we did not spend the night together and enjoy sex.
The point is good communication, can move the goal posts, however it is done, by the phone , internet or face to face. Dates are just face to face communcation, as opposed to communication of other means.
Hey I bet the postie pleased he is not having to deliver all our love notes these days

Posted: 3/18/2007 8:10:50 AM | Ladyjaxx, just had another read though the posts, I would say that asking a total stranger to wait 6 months before getting tooo personal is not unreasonable. Especially as you hint of intimate fun to be enjoyed until then in an earlier post.
In my previous post msg 56 I spoke of communication moving the posts as to how long to wait, even though nothing happened.
But I can also think of 2 ex lovers where I have never officially had a first date with. One I had known 3 months before a mutual interest was realised, the other about 18 months. So I would say it is all subjective to personal experience.

I Just wanted to say that I agree with so many of your forum posts. I'm totally hetero, so not after your body, don't worry! It would appear that we would poss be friends in local life. No idea if you will ever see this, but liked your line about the shy man. I, too, initiated with my lost love and it was a really strange, peculiar and lovely thing to be doing after so long in the wilderness for us both. The relationship ultimately foundered on all sorts of other things but I reckon it could happen again with the right person.

| Waiting 'too long' for sex - what is 'too long'? Posted: 3/19/2007 5:41:07 PM | I have only ever been in one relationship with someone where it was not the first night I that I had sex with them, it was the second, however we did prety much everything else on the first night.
I would say it all depends on the individual. Some people will not have sex untill they are married (i know it sounds increadible but there are actualy people out there who are still saving themselves!) whilst others get the hump if they do not get a hump on the first date.
Personaly I would deighn to wait up to a week I think, but luckily I can normaly charm a girls pants off before that.
