| How old is to old Posted: 3/12/2007 11:28:05 PM | This is kinda funny, last Saturday night I was out at a club and was talking to a young lady friend of mine that I have some interest in. I've known her since she was 18, she's 26 now and has just gotten out of a long relationship. We've never been intimate, we have kissed and it was pleasant. Anyway, we were talking about two of my friends that were kissing on the dance floor, she is 25 and he is in his 50s and my lady friend was commenting on how comfortable they looked together and asking their ages. When I told her, she wasn't shocked or surprised, but thought it was fine. I told her that he and I both liked our women young so they could keep up with us ( she knows that I am interested in her). She commented that SHE couldn't keep up with ME... I think she could so I'm going to give her time to decide that on her own...we'll see what develops. So Nadias, I suppose it's as I have stated before.... "It's less about age than attitude." | |

I've dated men from age 19-46....I tend to have a better time with younger men...and some have been even more mature than the guys my age. Some people will say they are just after sex....well i've got news for them, most men my age are too...with a younger guy i dont have expectations before hand, so therefore cannot be disappointed, whereas if i date someone over 40 and they end up acting like a total jackass, then i'm thinking wtf.....probably why i still talk to many of the younger men i've dated while the older ones seem to have vanished in the wind....
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks like this. Since I separated from my ex I have met many men. What I have found is the older men (my age or older) are more interested in a quick lay then the younger guys. Yes, yes.. there are exceptions to this as in anything else in life. I think I am fairly good and sussing out the ones that are only interested in the one thing.
I prefer younger men. I kind of think of myself as being in my late 20s... I *feel* like I'm 26-28. I'm told I don't look my age as well. Many of the men my age look their age or older, and act it as well!! Doesn't mean I want goofy and immature.. I just like the engergy that younger men have and give off. If a man can clean up and act like an adult when it's necessary, wear a suit and tie, and speak in clear and proper English, I'm all in! If he can relax and get dirty with me in the yard or doing something he enjoys (any sport really..) and I get to watch... mmmmm... it's all good!!

I know couples that have an age different either way younger or older. As long as you are comfortable so why should anyone's opinions matter.
Personally, I have always found getting better on with men who are older rather than my age or younger. Because they have always shown more interested on my thoughts and feelings.

My dad is 58, so pretty much anyone mid to late 50's is just too old to me. It is a subconscious thing, though, because I didn't have any age restrictions when I was actively looking, it was just a matter of who I was attracted to.
I have many friends who are older, but in order to be physically and sexually attracted to someone, I just can't go too much older.

I think that the key is to not limit youself, if you think you can handle it!!! My ex was 29 years older than me, and he was one of the best things that ever happened to me. We will be good friends for years to come I'm hope!!! I didn't rule him out due to age, and he kept an open mind with me, I guess It's one of those things that just happened!! If you can defend it, justify it and most importantly, live with it, than you just might find love where you don't expect to!!

| How old is to old Posted: 3/13/2007 2:49:58 PM | Some cool people? There is alot! just kidding. 16 years is alot I think. 10 years can be sometimes. even 2 years. different people get along different. Id say its okay for a 15 year old to date a 20 year old. 17 and 23 is okay... 20 and 28... 21 and 34... 30 and 45... 35 and 55. Would be really weird if my parents divorced and my dad who is 55 started dating a woman thats 28 or 30 something, because my mom is 51 and im 21. it is different for each year older.
When I was 13 I wouldnt have gone for a guy who was older than 17. or out of highschool because there is something wrong with that. but when I was 13, these guys who are 28-34 for me now were 20-26 or something back then and now I think thats kinda weird... so it definatly depends on what age someone is for how many years older someone is. When I was 16 I thought 28 was old.. thats 12 years... doesnt seem as much now that im 21. I think 15 years is alot, but you just never know sometimes. some people live more and experience things differently. I wouldnt ever be with someone my dads age that is too (sick) different for me. that is like a trip back in time or something. lol.

| How old is to old Posted: 3/13/2007 6:24:08 PM | | I want an emotinal and intellectual equal. Cannot bring myself to believe that a younger man would do it for me. He may be pretty to look at and have the stamina of a stallion, but I need brain stimulation more than anything. | |

I am here to meet someone and hopefully find a meaningful relationship. I just prefer to stick with men within a ten yr age range whether it be older or younger.

| How old is to old Posted: 6/19/2008 3:04:03 PM | I really don't thing age should matter, unless you want to have kids (if the woman is older). When I was in my early/mid teens I dated up to 10 years older, the gap started to drop after my first divorce, at 18. My last husband (we separated 4 years ago), is 12 years younger than me. Our relationship lasted the longest of all my marriages/relationships & he was more mature (in most respects) & we were way more compatible, than any of the previous.
But in order for such a relationship to work, you have to be the kind of person who doesn't give a damn what other people think. If you are strongly /or easily influenced by the opinions of others, the stress may be more than your relationship can take.
