Posted: 1/19/2008 1:16:39 PM | Okay, so if the majority of guys are into curvy (and we're not talking Hef's bunnies here, but CUR-VEEEE with junk in the trunk), then why is it that I'm getting hit on to the nth degree and even getting marriage proposals after a brief coffee chat? I agree with the earlier comment about gals who look like boys being a draw for weirdos, but at our advanced ages, even pencil thin gals have a few curves.
I think one needs to get beyond the physical and see the whole picture of person. Remember folks, sexual attraction is MENTAL. Physical attraction may get you noticed, but it's all mental when it comes to connecting sexually over the long haul.

Posted: 1/19/2008 1:31:17 PM | I can get you a list. Fending them off is a full time job! Some I can scare away by just speaking to them. A lot of men are terrified of smart upfront vocal women, no matter what their size.
I particularly like the guys who email or IM accusing me of lying about my size but then are sending messages later panting about wanting to meet. I still think that the right person will attract the right person, no matter what their sizes. That's my theory. In practice, I'm finding that the men out there all want fit slim women to date.
Ergo, I'm making an educated guess here in stating that, generally speaking, men are giving lip service on this forum and are basically secretly superficial about who they want to date and hook up with.

I plan on looking awesome at 90 never mind 75 there is no reason we can't look great all our life. Just take pride in yourself, and work hard at it. Remember between 60 and 80 if you're not doing resistance training you will loss 70% of your muscle mass. Not this dude, I plan on having as much fun at 90 as I do at 70. Rock'nRoll till you die. | |

Too many gals think their double D jugs makes up for their double D gut, they don't. Super thin is awful, don't get me wrong but way to many husky women accuse regular size gals of being super skinny when that's just not the case. Plus, I think there needs to be some sort of memorial service for the term BBW, one of the most misused appreviations on the internet. Way too many women automatically throw that second B in there when the only people who might agree would be some drunk guys at the end of the night or immediate family. Just cause you're big, doesn't make you beautiful. | |

It gets back to the discussion waaaayyy back at the outset of this thread, that the very title is "weighted" (yes, it's a pun) to validate being bigger over being slender.......
Don't get me wrong, the fashion world for too long promoted anorexia as the vogue, and feeling great about oneself despite not looking like a stick is a mentally healthy place to be, but, and a BIG butt here (another pun?), being overweight simply is not physically healthy. For your heart, your joints, your organs, whatever. AND, the more fat you have, the higher levels of persistent, toxic, carcinogenic chemicals your body contains. Food for thought (hat trick!).
