| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 11/13/2008 2:17:37 PM |
I prefer them to be healthy. Period.
Unless they eat and eat and its not their fault that they remain skinny and its genetic. I could live with that, but I wouldn't want a girl that wants to be a stick person.

Posted: 11/19/2008 10:52:39 PM | in my personal experiences, I definitely prefer curvy women over the pencil thin girls because bbw's seem to be more passionate, down to earth, real, and their head doesn't look like it's going to explode because of their ego and how wonderful they look. Give me a break...ugh.
Curvy girls are more fun to be with, make great lovers and get along great with the guys, and don't go sleeping around behind your back(although some do, which is why I'm here looking for someone that's actually loyal in the Vancouver area ). For the most part, they just seem to have better values and that's important to me.

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 11/22/2008 9:19:33 PM | This is a double standard if I ever saw one.
I take it the OP is actually refering to overweight women as being "curvy" and slender women being "skinny pencils"
I wonder how long a thread would last here if it refered to overwieght women in a similar derogatory manner......a day, an hour ?
And if someone described to me a person that's "skinny as a pencil" I would picture images similar to death camp survivors........not an attractive picture.
We all come in different shapes and sizes and a lot more of us would like to lose some extra lbs. than would admit here. And I have my own opinion of what a womans curve's are and what they are'nt.
When you Love someone all this doesn't matter! That's what's most important.

I'm curvy and its never been an issue, but I'm sure it helps women that are kinda insecure about it feel better about themselves. Thanks guys.

Posted: 11/23/2008 5:39:44 AM | ^There's nothing wrong with being confident but I do think we seem to be going out of our way on the whole to denigrate those who are too thin while being overly accepting (by contrast that is) of those who are too heavy. I think if someone is carrying too much weight, or not enough, to the point it is affecting their health in a significant way we should be encouraging them to reach a more healthy weight regardless of which direction that happens to be taking them, rather than encouraging absolute acceptance of size in one direction while looking down in disdain on those too far in the other direction. Either it's ok to be both or neither, take your pick but to single one out for disdain over the other is just playing favorites based on where you happen to fall and I, for one, have no patience for such irrational behavior.
This isn't to say I personally dislike the overweight as a group. I'm just saying that I feel it's important we encourage them to adopt a more healthy lifestyle just as we would if they were underweight and refusing to meet their requisite caloric intake on a daily basis, neither is good for them and in the best interests of their well-being. We can however engage in such encouragement without being nasty about it, and again, that goes for both sides.
