Im guessing so... sad really... because there isnt any good reason to belittle someone because of their age or their body shape/size... thats just out and out mean. We may not like what others post... we may not even like others, but that is completely unnecessary and out of line.

One of my best friends growing up was as you'd call it pencil-thin, and she never minded being called that! Once she had her three gorgeous children she became curvy in all the right places. Oh damn! Do I have to hate her now? LOL

Comments like that are sure gonna help you bag some quality guy...and after reading those and the first line of your profile...NO, we don't wonder why you're single.

we are still animals and never forget it. just because we have developed technology and consider ourselves civilised ( when was the world at peace last??? all of it? if the countries of the world were children we would say that they are a unruley bunch )
dose not mean that we dont have our selectioin chosen for us.
pheremones and genetic programming rule us in this aspect for stregenth of the species the same as any other. but since we have a higher intelect to allow consience and reasoning in we can somewhat alter this ither by choice or by developmental influences.
hip to weist ratio is a part but also fachial geometry, body structure, peheromone leveles, personal perefences and definatley personality.
have met some drop dead gorgeous women and when they start to talk they get uglier by the breath.
me i like athletic to a few extra pounds. im not gonna lie and say that physical attraxction is a minor componet of attraction to anyone weithe it be on here or in the real world. never heard of anyone who said there type is ugly. ither physical or personality wise.
just my 5 cents.
p.s i all ready know that im a terrible speller.

though I love shapely curves, thine women can be attractive, but I do draw lines when i can count your ribs, because i still cant believe that is ever healthy.

Well that is just so wrong. What does color have to do with the fact that you get curvy and slender women all over the world. No matter what color, race or age, if the connection is not there, it is just not there. I've been on both sides, slender and now curvy, it didn't make one damn difference.
I would step over a million skinny girls to get to one curvy one, but i don't think me being a man of color has anything to do with it, just my personal preference that's all.

Posted: 3/21/2007 1:49:21 PM | from my experience and perspective it really is a middle ground and dependent on definition. Do i like women that are kate moss look alikes...NO, that is gross, its unhealthy. Do i like Rosanne Barr look alikes, NO, that is even more gross, its unhealthy.
From what i have found its the same amongst men and women. The total hard bodies aint bad to look at but really, not the type most want to settle with.
First, as a general rule (and yes there are many exceptions) but alot of people that spend so much time focusing on their image leave alot of the "soul work" behind. The become fixated on image and lack depth of character and are highly narcissistic. To the point that they can never love someone as mucha s they love themselves.
Second, I find alot of introspection comes from seeing and being with your partner, if they are insane about their appearance, they usually are critical of yours and for alot of people it results in you becoming more self critical. One partner feels they must look the same to be equal. So instead of being happy with eachother, they are both miserable with themselves.
Third-lifestyle, simply put someone who spends half their life with their finger down their throat is someone i dont have alot in common with, i try to be balanced but i do enjoy my food and drink. By the same token, someone who sits around all day would kill me as i love to hike and get out and be active.
Fourth-base form, majority of men like women that look like women and most women like men who look like men. Its base instinct, so while someone may be thin or larger, they can still have a very feminine form and vice versa. Round is not the same thing as curvy. Its only one curve! the typical female form is hourglass and the male is inverted triangle, as a general rule that is what the opposite gender likes.
Lastly, there is a health aspect. For someone you want something long term with a person on either extreme is not a viable partner as you will have to cater to them.
While love may be blind, lifestyle affects body type and compatibility. So it boils down to being comfortable in your own skin and finding someone whose lifestyle is compatible with yours. For me it tends to be someone in the middle, who can enjoy a creamy boozy coffee on top of a mountain we just climbed up  | |
