| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 3/30/2007 6:39:22 AM | Sherness:
I'm not sure where you hang out but I for one have difficulty in believing that people who are unattractive don't have people talking to them. Perhaps I come from a different mould, a different era I don't know, but -- I find that most people I run into will stop and talk to me, perhaps because I always have a smile on my face, perhaps because I'm always laughing...I don't know.....
But I'll tell you one thing, if someone chooses not to talk to me because of the way I look, they can keep on going...I truly don't have time for shallow, pretentious people, who put value on appearance. Again, beauty comes from within, I find people like that very ugly indeed.
Perhaps my lessons came in a different form...caring for almost 20 children over the years, all with disabilities...finding the beauty in each one of them.
Back to the question --curves vs skinny...it's all a matter of personal preference for some people and for others I don't think it really matters as long as they are happy and comfortable with each other.

I get like that once I'm around folks I know to a certain degree. Looks don't matter when you are having a hoot. I'm just not used to looking for more than acqauintances. Drinking people can be ugly too. I've learned to appreciate folks for who they really are. Comfortability is what makes friends.

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 3/30/2007 9:29:11 PM | Beauty IS indeed in the eye of the beholder . I see a lot of women (I don't bother for some reason to view the guys) in here who classify themselves as average / athletic when they should categorize themselves in the few pounds extra or obese section .
One of my friends wife used to comment quite vulgarly about other females behinds as we drove around and it wasn't until I tired of her insults (she was a Taurus) that I informed her that the last women she dissed had a smaller butt than her .
I prefer a bone rack with no ass . Broken down in layman's terms : I like a slim female with small (less than a handful) breasts , curvaceous hips and small buttocks .
Of course getting someone that fits the bill takes money and lot's of it .
Yet it is only 1% of a relationship !
I would rather meet someone with Love in their eyes and laughter in their heart . (Who is also a bone rack with no ass)

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 5/10/2007 8:29:36 PM | YES~! a woman is suppose to be curvy, its definatly sexier. A few extra pounds is fine, but then again I am a boob man. a pencil thin woman, well.... just looks like she is homeless and needs some food .. damn it girl, eat some pasta.
Not to mention, a woman that looks like a 12 year boy from the back is just creepy.

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 5/11/2007 3:11:46 PM | I had been pencil thin and athletic most of my life until the last five years due to thyroid problems. I found it easier to attract men when I was thinner and most of them were very good looking. Now since I've put on too many pounds and maybe because I'm older, I find many of the men I'm attracted to don't give me a second glance. But really that's ok cause most of those guys didn't treat me very good anyway. And besides, right now I've found a very special person so I'm not looking. | |

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 5/24/2007 7:55:42 AM | Hey wait a minute here.
I have been called skinny, bean pole, pencil, string bean and more. I don't spend hours on my hair and make-up. I don't diet. I am what I am. Since when does being slender make you a high maintenance stuck-up biatch?? I bet deep down inside I'm more beautiful than a lot of those "curves" out there.
Just my 2 lean cents | |

Posted: 5/24/2007 3:25:58 PM | What I think most amazing about this thread is that the majority of the comments are coming from women whereas my impression is that the first poster was trying to illicit comments from men. I find this very telling about women's anxieties, and as the father of a daughter this concerns me.
As someone newly on the dating scene, I can say without reservation that a woman, a true woman, has curves. Women who are 5'6" + and less than 110 lbs or less have bodies like children. I'm no pedophile. I really like my woman to have a butt I can grab on to. Not huge mind you, but it has to have some substance or I'll lose interest. Sorry skinny girls, I'm sure you'll find men who disagree with me.

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 5/25/2007 7:01:18 AM | and by the way . . .
"Oh my god! You're so skinny" is NOT a compliment. Think about it! Would you ever say "Oh my god! You're so fat"?
Like my good friend says: be nice or go home . . . thank you
Back to the regularly scheduled topic now . . . .
That's it . . . .
nothing to see here . . .
Move along . . . | |

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 5/29/2007 8:01:07 AM | | Curvy is definitely preferable, because flesh is good....hehe. However, by curvy I don't mean curves that go on and on and on.....But some decent size curves in the right places is very sexy, enjoyable and desirable. x | |

My preference would be slim as I am slim build, have no justifiable reason or excuse for that thinking, it just is. However, it is the person inside the body that counts most and if curvy is within my perception of aesthetics - well then I guess I’ll just have more of you in the physical way, no worries here.

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 6/11/2007 1:49:13 PM | It's like asking a guy"Would you rather drive a straight boring road or a nice curvy one..." you know it's curves all the way!
I like curves but too many curves, are as bad as not enough curves for me. I would still like to be able to see whats coming around the corner somewhat lol.
Different strokes for different folks.
This question might have been a lot easier to answer with three different body pic styles,
pick pic # 1 #2 or # 3 or as many #'s as you think we would need to cover most body
styles lol.
There are a way more body styles to choose from than just curvy or skinny pencil, and someone will like each and everyone of them for different reason's.

pencil women are in denial...they read too many magazines.....curvey women are natural.....and sexy
Grab a brain . . . maybe try actually getting to know someone instead of stereo-typing them and stuffing them in a wee pigeon hole. Is it natural to over eat and under excercise? Sometimes it's just too easy to see why some folks remain single for so long.
