| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 6/12/2007 6:07:24 PM | I mentioned in another thread, that if a guy wants the pencil-thin type, that he's either got one hell of a lolita complex or are a homosexual pedophile. Seriously! What guy wants to make whoopie with a girl that looks like a 12-year old boy?
'Nuff said?
I'd much rather find a gal with curves and a "womanly" figure. It's all about the ratios!

So tell me guys why are all the babes in the strip joints skinny and/or had a make-over? Someone must be looking, no?
Not all slim women suffer from anerexia, some just have a different metabolism, eat healthy or work out more. Same as for men, not all are pear shape. The whoopie is all good if the operator knows how to use the tools, small or large, all the same. For me it is the person inside who comes first, slim or curvy , no big deal.

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 6/14/2007 7:35:49 AM | Yup. My ex explained to me last night that guys will always lie about stuff like this-- even to eachother. He even when it comes to breasts-- guys have to say they love the big ones to sound macho, but for the most part really don't. How depressing! Well... there goes the only thing I thought I had left, haha! | |

I love a woman with hips and nice legs. Boobs aren't all that important but help a little.
Curvy but not fat Slender-ish but not super skinny.
I like a little bit of meat on my women.

There is no doubt in my mind, European women have a definite advantage. A definite difference is also attitude. :)
I personally like women of every nationality, Caucasian, African American, First Nation, Indian, Asian, the list goes on.. but when the women out weighs me by 30 lbs or more.. I do start to back up.
I have dated a few curvy women, but as you said, it was because of their inner beauty. I was also married to one, but it did not start that way.. ;)

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 6/17/2007 11:25:37 AM | Lets turn this around, do women like beefy bikers and weightlifters, or the nerdy accountants and computer programmers? It has been discussed to death on these forums, so forget it. You cannot ask what MEN like, you can only ask what a MAN likes. And I, in my amazement when cruising with a buddy for chicks in my younger days, have made quite the correlations between what is attractive to a MAN, and what is not... My first wife was 5'1", 34,25,35, 95lbs. Damn hot, Damn curvy, Damn skinny too! My second was 5'8", 36,26,36, 120 lbs. Damn hot, Damn curvy, Damn skinny too... My sis is 5'7", 140lbs. but looks like 115lbs because she is all slender muscle... Her boyfriend thinks she is hot, skinny, and curvy too! First, I am going to go out on a limb here, and define what you have left to generalization... By curvy, I believe you mean, BBW, robust, voluptuous, the more than a few pounds overweight kind of CURVY. Right? And by pencil thin, you are meaning tall, lean models who throw up and look like they came from some prison camp or starving, impoverished african village, SKINNY, PENCIL thin, or the ones who are hooked on drugs, or have a disease, who look ill and dont eat much, RIGHT? Well what kind of choice is this I ask? How about mentioning a proportionately shaped woman who is not more than ten pounds over or underweight? Most women I am attracted to are 5'6" and 115lbs. Their friends and even their family tell them they are skinny, and need to put on weight. I think that is just out of jealousy. To me, the women I date are model material, and have dangerous curves, not U-turns and Missing Bridges with deep washouts. NO man wants to grab onto a bony butt! We have all seen the dead carcasses of cows, horses and deer by the highway, so, sorry, NO THANKS... Okay, did you really need to ask this question OP? So with the above definitions, MAN here and MEN in general I believe, will choose neither CURVY or SKINNY, unless THEIR MOTHER was over or underweight. YES, I have found strangely enough, my buddies are attracted to women who bear the same body shape as their mothers, if they felt loved by them and had a good relationship with them, because most men want to be loved by a wife as good or better than loved by their mother, and I do NOT mean anything sexual, you know what I mean... This MAN will choose the toned, well proportioned body over the voluptuous or the bony any and every day. Unless that person is ill or simply temporarily punishing herself for something, or not wanting to be in a relationship for a while, and who has NOT totally let herself go, and you know what I mean by this as well... If you are at all still confused or bewildered, and want to know what MEN really like, watch SPIKE TV, to find out whether Jessica Beal or Alba is hottest, and note their body types... I love Meg Ryans personality personally. She is hottest to me! There is no mystery here, unless this is a personal ad and you are just drumming up some interest for maybe you or someone you know who is a bit over or underweight... And like I said, depending on whether a man is embarrassed into submission by peer pressure or not, whether or not he had a good relationship with his mom or not, he will invariably choose someone the body type and hair color of his mother, and even someone with a similar personality... Lets not confuse the other unmentioned issue here. Do men want the curvy or skinny woman for SEX or for MARRIAGE? Men will invariably want to have sex with the person who is most EXOTIC looking, for sex is usually for breeding purposes, and the person who looks most UNLIKE family will be the one most attractive for sexual, child creation purposes, in general terms... However, on the other hand, a man will subconsciously choose a woman for marriage who most RESEMBLES family features, because a long term relationship, not just a sexual one, is best with someone whom you trust, and if you cant or dont trust family, then who can you trust? There, I had to include that variable which you neglected to mention OP. Thats why I mentioned beefy bikers and weightlifters, who women turn to for sex, over nerdy accountant, doctor, lawyer, computer programmer types who women turn to to settle down with for financial stability and carrying on the intelligent genes in her offspring... I am sure this will infuriate a few of you, and yes, you can be exotic and trustworthy, and beefy and intelligent, and on the other hand, intelligent and blonde, curvy and caring, so as I said, this is a MANs opinion, not MENS, and it was a general question, and I made it specific, so that I could answer it in general as well as specific terms.

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 6/20/2007 5:20:17 AM | | I've been attracted to girls on both extremes and in between. I don't think proportions has anything to do with how compatible people are on a personal level. Though to be fair, if they are practically round or if they are showing too much bone then I'm thinking 'possible eating disorder'. | |

YEAAAAAAAAAAAA Dantares !!! I ALSO believe you hit the nail on the head with this one. Sign me, Big Curves and ROLLing Hills OK off to find my bicycle now, not a Harley to find a BIG biker! Where are those "geeky" bankers, lawyers and Doctors? Then again those forestry boys are in some mighty fine shape.

Oh! Oh! Ask me, I know. Computer programmers!! (I'd include accountants, but I used to work for a Big 8 -- when there were 8 -- accounting firm.)
A weightlifter is someone who is NOT interested in women. He's interested in his mirror. Now nerds and geeks actually *like* women, and have enough brains to figure out how to do something about that affinity. . . .
Just my experience. . . .

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 6/26/2007 11:19:00 PM | Speaking physically only, I tend to be attracted to women with classical curves (.97/.8/1.0) chest/waist/hip and the size doesn't matter much. On the other hand, skinnier women often have smaller breasts which I particularly find attractive.
That said... size and shape are actually quite often overshadowed by a attitude, intelligence and hair colour.

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 6/27/2007 2:27:47 AM | Since the question was about appearance: (<----Flame retardant) All other things being equal - Curvy HOT, skinny NOT. (<----Incendiary device) I have always strongly preferred thick women with good musculature. I find chubby more appealing than thin. Skinny women are very unattractive to me, for many, many reasons.
It’s not something I consciously decided. In fact, because of current social pressures, it is sometimes embarrassing to admit. Interestingly, I have known some women that really weren’t that “physically attractive” to me, but had personalities or other attributes that I found quite sexy: “a certain je ne sais quoi” (to butcher a cliché).
Generally I propound moderation (bad pun) in most things. Furthermore, in my experience, dieting equates to unhappiness and unpleasantness, to put it mildly. In addition, the more extreme the diet is, the more unpleasantness results.

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 6/27/2007 9:15:48 AM | think men like the "hourglass figure" big boobs, small waist, good size hips" the so called ideal figure has their waist 10 inches smaller than their boobs and boobs and hips measurements r the same. NO muffin toppers. But i have a remedy for that one... buy a corset and u then can get their curves but then again u need help lacing that one up. A handmade custom corset is really nice and show my figure off.

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 6/27/2007 7:22:42 PM | | personally I prefer a lady with a little meat on her bones. Regardless, as I've grown older and wiser I dont put much stock in looks. I would much rather have someone that relates to me than a bombshell on my arm. It's been said a billion times personality matters. ( ok of course looks help ) but honestly if I can talk to a lady its a bonus for me. | |

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 6/30/2007 8:08:33 AM | This question keeps getting hashed over and over. It seems you never really get the answer you want to hear. I was 'smaller' when I was younger, I met alot of men. As I got older, I got a little bigger. I still met alot of men. Then I went into a funk. Weight related? still unknown, but I did not meet any men. Now that I have realized, dealt with and crawled out of the funk, even though I am still BBW, I am comfortable meeting men again. It is all really about confidence levels. I would have to agree with an earlier post that men (and women) still tell (hopefully) little white lies saying wha we 'want' to hear but if you know what you want, chase it. Friends and family tell me that I am beautiful and I have realized that I am. I am great person, funny, non-judgemental and am looking for someone to like WHO I am, not necessarily my packaging. That could and will change over time but I am still me. I have been attracted to all kinds of men. different personalities, body shapes, attitudes but in the end, I will spend time with someone who I enjoy being with and who respects me and enjoys time with me. The whole idea of choosing curvy over skinny reminds me of buying my new car recently. I 'love' sporty 2 door fun cars. expensive to fix, not very practical but come on... they look great! Must be me getting older, but I went with the simple looking practical and reliable model. I will get a good long time use and am very confident in my decision it was right for me. I think that men and women will eventually realize that when they deciede to build a relationship with whomever they meet. skinny or curvy, BBW, geeky or a bodybuilder. There is someone out there for everyone. (have you ever seen a couple and thought "what is he/she doing with them?" STOP that. they are happy, do you think they really care what you think) | |
