To each their own I say ... sometimes it is just a bigger school of fish and the rarer more unique fish are harder to find,.... minnows and schools of herring are everywhere.

Women hate me because I'm just made small but they don't understand... a guy would rather hold an adult woman than someone with the figure of a thirteen year old boy

That said, I've been quite amazed at how many men love my figure, although I'm working out and trying to get in better shape, many seem to love BBWs more and more. But I think alot comes down to who you are as a person, how you love yourself and how you present yourself.
Be real, be yourself, don't pretend and if he looks at you a second time, then you know.

Posted: 7/25/2007 8:44:38 PM | Well from the reactions I have been getting since I gained 30 pounds (and I still had the same size chest, so I know that isn't it), I know that most REAL men prefer curvy and voloptuous women and will admit it.
It seems that a lot of young, superficial and insecure types constantly choose only skinny ones thinking that this is what is 'proper' norm in society.

| do men actually like curvy women vs the skinny pencil one? Posted: 7/26/2007 2:13:16 AM | I do believe that much of this issue has been driven by the fashion industry, the leaders of which appear to be sooo out of touch with reality. The predominant use of slender women, who torture their bodies to be adequately skinny to succeed in the business, must have some influence on the minds of women in the general population and thus some lady fishes wonder what appeals to us men fishes.
On the bright side, I did hear a news item some time ago that some of the fashion folks are starting to use "real" women for models. May the trend continue.
While not a student of the classical painters, I'm believe that before the modern fashion industry influenced society the ample bosom was celebrated in art more often than the skinny form.
Another point I need to touch on. On a previous fishing trip I'd met a gal in another online fish pond. She described herself as curvy. Her photo was cleverly deceptive. On meeting in person I discovered that my concept of curvy, (hour glass figure) didn't quite meet hers. From a geometric perspective I admit that a generally circular shape might be considered curvy, a circle is one curve.
So in my books a description of curvy is open to more than one interpretation and simply can't be trusted. Perhaps "buxom" and "voluptuous" might give us hopeful fishes a better idea of what to expect.
Google led me to this definition, which surprisingly was given for both adjectives "bosomy: (of a woman's body) having a large bosom and pleasing curves"
Meaning no offence or disrespect to the slender ladies, I confess that I strongly disagree with the adage "More than a mouthful is a waste".

Posted: 7/27/2007 12:38:51 AM | | It would appear that I, as do the majority of people answering this forum agree it's all about the curves and voluptuousness.(sp?)Women get all worked up because of the media's exploitation of skinny/malnourished women, cuz that's what they make clothes for-skinny people why? They in turn buy diet pills, increasing the health drug market, which is all controlled by the gov.(yes I know conspiracy theroies)So, women STOP LISTENING TO THE GODAMN MEDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!That's what sells, (due to the insecurities of people)why not make as much $$$ as you can. That's what makes the world spin....

Posted: 7/27/2007 10:49:18 PM | A little OT but I did a search for "Female body shape" on Reference.com and found some interesting information on body types. I apologize if this upsets anyone w/r/t the rules here. The info there seems to echo the opinions expressed here. As often is the case, moderation...

I am like you and would tend to believe that curves on me would only take style and class away .....Once I even got my hair short short and looked very much like a young boy......my husband loved it! He would not go for anybody slightly heavy. Have you seen models on a fashion-walk? The skinnier, the better.

I did know one guy who did, and he also liked to look at teenaged girls (perhaps too much so). I did wonder about his morality... and did conclude he was a creep and distanced myself from him.

Personally I think that men should be looking for class and style, which don't have anything to do with being slender or curvy....it is more a matter of how one carries himself/herself.....

I'll admit I've met some classy, fine women who were not as buxom as I'd like, but classy all the same.
BTW - I just looked at your profile in which you stated that as of yesterday it would not be visible. It is.
