| Your quote fo the week!! Posted: 3/29/2007 9:55:15 AM | | When something doesn't work out the way I think it should, such as a job or a reply from someone, I always think - this didn't work because there is something better coming my way. I don't regret doing what I have done. I look for what was the lesson that situation or person had to teach me. That has kept me going a great deal especially over the last 6 years. | |

| Your quote fo the week!! Posted: 3/29/2007 10:38:07 AM | Hi Lalila,
I just read your quote this morning, and it sent a shiver up and down my spine. It was a very good post and I'm so glad that you shared it with everyone. Such very true words and really sums up what another person can do to you and how they can mess you up in a big way. Reading that also makes me realize how much I have healed though and that a lot of those painful things although extremely hard do fade with time and we are indeed stronger and wiser (usually) for having experienced it.

Love me without fear Trust me without questioning
Need me without demanding Want me without restrictions
Accept me without change Desire me without inhibitions
For a love so free.... Will never fly away.

"No matter where you go, that's where you are."
"There is no try . . . do or do not." Yoda
"Hey, at least I tried."

| Your quote for the week!! Posted: 4/15/2007 11:57:33 AM | sorry to get political but I thought this was timely:
"The President is merely the most important among a large number of public servants. He should be supported or opposed exactly to the degree which is warranted by his good conduct or bad conduct, his efficiency or inefficiency in rendering loyal, able, and disinterested service to the Nation as a whole. Therefore it is absolutely necessary that there should be full liberty to tell the truth about his acts, and this means that it is exactly necessary to blame him when he does wrong as to praise him when he does right. Any other attitude in an American citizen is both base and servile. To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else."
"Roosevelt in the Kansas City Star", 149 May 7, 1918
Especially the line: " To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong ..."

| Your quote for the week!! Posted: 4/15/2007 11:59:17 AM | and isn't this interesting for the time - or for any time:
"Viewed purely in the abstract, I think there can be no question that women should have equal rights with men."..."Especially as regards the laws relating to marriage there should be the most absolute equality between the two sexes. I do not think the woman should assume the man's name." "The Practicability of Equalizing Men and Women before the Law" Senior thesis at Harvard, 1880
I have to say I agree !!! | |

| Your quote for the week!! Posted: 4/15/2007 1:56:01 PM | Believe it was Dilon (sp?) who said: "Most people do not do what they believe in, most people do what is convenient - then repent."
Considering the present state of our planet, the environment, wars and the many issues we humans 'conveniently' turn a blind eye to, I thought that quote appropriate.

A lot of guys think the larger a woman's breasts are, the less intelligent she is. I don't think it works like that. I think it's the opposite. I think the larger a woman's breasts are, the less intelligent the men become. ~Anita Wise
