| Clubbing, Pubbing and washing hands... Yukk? Posted: 3/2/2008 3:45:46 AM | usually wash hands after going to loo, but if the basin looks filthy, then maybe not :)
urine is fairly sterile when it comes out, but don't like to eat nibbles that have been dribbled in it...
using tweezers is a sign of OCD developing :)

| Clubbing, Pubbing and washing hands... Yukk? Posted: 3/2/2008 8:39:31 AM | My dad has caught MRSA twice in the past few years. And both times were in HOSPITAL when he was having a hip replacement. Do you know that more folk die in hospital of an infection they aquired while they were in the hospital being treated for another illness than die on Britains roads every year. And thats just the cases that the coroner reports!.The numbers are 4500 die of a hospital aquired infection.3500 die on British roads... And folk wonder why i am scared of hospitals!! | |

And seeing as the thread is about infections picked up at nightclubs/Pubs i guess you're twice as at risk at a Mobile Disco.

| Clubbing, Pubbing and washing hands... Yukk? Posted: 3/2/2008 9:44:19 AM | Ahh i was just commenting on the washing hands bit and given that the op works for the nhs i thought it was appropriate...

| Clubbing, Pubbing and washing hands... Yukk? Posted: 3/2/2008 9:59:16 AM | We can wash our hands till they turn raw, then pull open the exit door, and our hands are infected by someone who last touched it and hadn't wash their hands. And is anyone instilling into people who clean toilets that you don't use the same cloth to wash the seats, then the sink and taps with that same cloth, and finally the same cloth to wipe down the door handle. Just because something 'looks' clean it doesn't mean it is. Pam xx | |

| Clubbing, Pubbing and washing hands... Yukk? Posted: 3/3/2008 4:16:56 PM | i ALLWAYS wash my hands.
many a time after a pee in a public loo whilst washing my hands properly= washing with soap and hot water ( hot if possible) and drying properly too i have noticed guys coming out of cubicles ( after doing the obvious because of the smell !!!!!!!!!) and walking straight out of the door without washing their hands ......dirty sods.
after i have washed and dried my hands i now ALLWAYS try and open the door in any fashion without actually holding the door handle so avoiding touching the handle covered in germs......what is the point washing our hands only to touch the door handle covered in germs.
what is really worrying is what else has been touched by these people who DONT wash their dirty grubby hands.
like already been mentioned no wonder there are so many bugs and diseases about.
|
| Clubbing, Pubbing and washing hands... Yukk? Posted: 3/3/2008 4:20:40 PM | I think that alot of these bugs came about because of the over the top cleanliness of people MRSA< too many antibiotics, MRSA can come from within if i am not mistaken? | |

| Clubbing, Pubbing and washing hands... Yukk? Posted: 3/3/2008 4:35:20 PM | After going for a wee I always use it as an ad-hoc aftershave
Splash it all over my face. Well I usually piss on my shoes anyway. And my jeans.
Pheromones innit | |

| Clubbing, Pubbing and washing hands... Yukk? Posted: 3/4/2008 9:16:07 AM | Do not use the air dryers to dry your hands. They have been found to contain masive amounts of bacteria and moulds that are thrown onto your hands when you switch them on, so use tissue instead. The goverment are slowly removing all of the air hand dryers from public but have not yet brought any laws into force because no one hasbrought them to task on it so far. | |

| Clubbing, Pubbing and washing hands... Yukk? Posted: 3/5/2008 11:09:19 PM | I'm ultra clean [sounds like a brand of toothpaste] and always dry my hands on my trousers when I empty my colostomy bag into the sink. I know this probably makes me sound neurotic, but I've been known to take a bath midweek before now.
If you've seen some of the vulgarity I've witnessed in pub/club toilets , then believe me washing hands would be way down on the list of priorities in personal hygiene. Gross
|
| Clubbing, Pubbing and washing hands... Yukk? Posted: 3/6/2008 12:58:26 AM | Well Ive got to say, pubs and clubs Ive been to always have a good selection of filthy unhygienic women.
It makes my stomach churn the amount of times Ive seen women come straight out of toilets, dont bother to wash their hands, instead they start to apply another layer of shit to their already heavily made up gobs.
Urrrh - nasty. | |
|
| Clubbing, Pubbing and washing hands... Yukk? Posted: 3/6/2008 3:29:58 PM | i have allways assumed ladies were much better than the guys when it came to washing our hands in toilets.
seeing as for number ones we guys actually have to touch our parts whereas i suspect that unless a woman has to wipe her self after peeing there isnt the same actuall contact so is women washing hands after peeing neccessary.....just a thought.
tho having said that it will not do any harm to still wash their hands.
|
| Clubbing, Pubbing and washing hands... Yukk? Posted: 3/7/2008 2:54:33 AM | I always wash my hands but can't be bothered standing under hand driers (give me a towel anyday) so I normally walk out of the toilet, shake somebody's hand & say "sorry my hands are wet I've just been to the toilet" | |
|
| Clubbing, Pubbing and washing hands... Yukk? Posted: 9/28/2008 1:15:34 PM | Hi people, I'm amazed this post had a much activity as its had, you'll never get rid of every single germ but like wearing a condom it lessens your chances of catching something.
As someone said I dread to think what bacteria are hanging around the toilet entrance door handle after a nights clubbing. Their probably have a great time as well. :)
|
| Clubbing, Pubbing and washing hands... Yukk? Posted: 9/28/2008 4:57:57 PM | Washing inbetween my monthly bath, wether I need it or not? Is that allowed?
I try no to piss on me hands when I go to the loo, anyway piss is sterile, untill it comes out.
|
| Clubbing, Pubbing and washing hands... Yukk? Posted: 9/28/2008 6:22:53 PM | I never go to clubs so dirty loo's are rarely an issue for me. When I go to a pub, I try to wait till I get home for a peepee.
And I never ever eat nuts or mints from the bar YUCK!!!!!
And yes I always wash my hands when I go.
