Posted: 9/28/2008 11:39:04 PM | | Always wash my hands whether i,m out somewhere in a pub,club or cafe.I actually hate those hot air dryers.In fact some of the toilet facilities are so disgusting i use anti bacteria gel instead.Always keep a small bottle in my bag. | |

Posted: 9/29/2008 1:27:33 AM | I carry a pack of wet wipes around with me to freshen up every so often. Using public transport is also a minefield of germ warfare ~ I try to make sure I press the 'open door' button on the train with the back of a knuckle instead of a finger pad etc.
However, I do think we need to come into contact with a certain amount of germs & other nasties in our everyday lives as it helps to build our immune system's resistance to them.
Having said that, I'm quite glad when it starts turning chilly as it means I can wear gloves again! | |

Posted: 11/7/2008 12:30:31 PM | Just a word of warning - I read somewhere (sorry cannot quote sourse) that the anti-bacterial soaps and cleaning sprays need to be left on the surface for at LEAST a minute before the anti-bacterial bit is effective.
Can anyone confirm or refute this?
I assume that rapidly rinsing your hands could be counter-productive in this respect. Presumably the gels that dry on our hands are OK? | |

I am sure the tools are OK clean, as I have seen them cleaning them... Nut when flu time rolls around , I put my hands on any part of the chair...

Isn't money laundering illegal? 
You are all mostly talking about a #1, but what about those who do a #2.
A kebab/chicken take-away shop round my area was closed down because Environmntal Health found traces of bacteria from #2. Some people are simply disgusting. Next time you use a take-away shop, be aware that this sort of thing may happen.
The people who use their sleeve or toilet paper to open the exit door after washing their hands are certainly not stupid. It makes complete sense as others who dont wash their hands touch the exit door handle so that must be rife with germs. It is no good us handwashers ignoring the fact that the door handle just puts the germs right back on our hands again. | |

Posted: 11/9/2008 3:40:39 PM |  I buy special soap simmilar to dish soap to was all my vegtables when I arrive home,,, I hate it when I see some people cough all over the vegtables or fruit, in the open bins !!!
Time and again I have seen the cashier pull out of her pocket a round ball of wet cleanex she`s used ovrer and over to wipe her nose .... the germs are all over her hands , and she`s handeling my stuff to punch into the cash..... arriving home I wash all the items including the wrapper on the bread etc.....before I store them in my fridge or in the freezer... It seems to me that some folks do`nt give the darn when they have a cold or the flu !!!
Before I leave home. on my way to go shopping, I always bring along a ziplock bag with hand towels that I`ve poured some alcohol over,.. to wipe the cart handel and any place I`ll be touching !!! ..... I know the cart smells like a hospitol !!! but who cares !!!..... | |
