To secure my seat in the padded van.
I LOVE forums .. people sharing their ideas, ideals, witticisms and the like. Particularly I Love the BC forums. There can be weeks between posts here in PEI. Really sux.. sigh .. So now 'n then I just gotta pop in and say Hi! to my friends in BC.
I know we're only allowed so much of that cross country posting, cuz the pond has rules .. so hopefully my little note here today, after being good since my last "time out" will be acceptable.
I post cuz it keeps me in touch with my friends .. and it helps us get to know ourselves and each other a little better. I like to post 'here' .. cuz it's where my heart is.

Miss y'all ..

Is it to ask a legitimate question? Is it because you think you have something meaningful to say? Could it be to see your name on the screen (kind of like hearing your own voice)? To annoy others? To give others insight into what kind of person you are? To start an argument?

Yes. Yes. No. Yes. Yes. Maybe.

boredom....just feeling like communication with others especially in BC.

oh, plus, if anyone who is similar to me in that they like to read, and write, in their spare time, and so therefore are on the forums.....it's a showcase for my personality that the profile doesn't provide

like attracts like that's the bonus

I post because its an outlet to discuss the trials and tribulations of dating, relationships, and single life. A lot of my friends are coupled up and have a sort of looking in on a fishbowl fascination with my dating stories (almost like they are living vicariously), but not exactly a "I can relate" input into the discussions. I also am fascinated by how widely answers to these questions vary (a lot wider than they would with my circle of friends, some who probably think a lot like me, or some who aren't really interested in disagreeing with people, so get quiet instead of arguing). It is also an easy way to toss an idea around in your head - by writing it down (at least for me, writing and reading words work really well with my learning style and it's a nice way to digest ideas for me), and throwing it out to the internet also brings back additional ideas, thoughts.

I do also like the writing equivalent of "hearing my own voice." I enjoy my own writing.
