I thought that a guy simply 'takes to it like a duck to water' once given a chance!

Make the experience of your partner's test buds more pleasurable by increasing the pH of those fluids naturally. The higher it goes the less bitter it will be. This can be accomplished very easily by eating plenty of fruits (pineapples in particular).
