Posted: 3/13/2007 12:40:40 PM | Okay here are the exact details. All you have to do is show up on the sunday march 25 at hooters at 4 pm. Thickson and hwy 2 and I will do my best to accomadate everyone to make a team. IF too many players see about making two teams.
The Softball League will begin May 7th and ends the last Monday in
August. This is a corporate/organizational "fun" league that welcomes
everyone from the beginners to avid players. Friends and family members
over the age of 18 are invited to participate as well. The games will
be played on Monday evenings at Oshawa's Lakefront West Park.
The season is split into two segments. The first segment will be general
pool play followed by playoffs where teams will be broken into divisions
based on their record from the pool play. The rules include: Co-ed (at
least three females), recreational, 3-pitches, provide your own umpire,
safety bases, etc... I have attached the rules.
I do not have the insurance quotes for this year yet so currently the
team entry fee will be between $475-$500 to cover the costs of the
fields, balls and equipment and insurance. The money will be due April
23rd. We play approximately 15 games with 1-2 doubleheaders. We had 15
teams in the league last year and have room for 3 more. The game times
are Mondays 6:15, 7:40 & 9pm with some flexibility for playing times to
accommodate people who travel home from Toronto.
So if we have 14 plauers on the team, that would be around 36 dollars each. Alternates don't have to pay.
Hopefully big fish sponsers us, have not heard back from him yet. | |
