Discus would be an amusing addition: Disk-shaped, expensive and picky. Perfect.
The Betta is the brightly colored Siamese Fighting Fish, who likes to sulk in his own bowl . Appropriate for the terminally disenchanted types.
Electric eel - how enlightening. Nyuk nyck nyuk.

| Pick Your Fish Type. Posted: 3/13/2007 9:36:31 PM | You forgot the Nautilus, reputably the oldest creature in the ocean which could be for the old soul types. They don't swim, they are jet propelled. I'd be a nautilus.
And the tubeworm that dwells by the sulphur excreting hot water vents. Did anyone say Remora?
Vampyro Toothus, a more recent deep ocean octopus discovery, red skin, incredible blue eyes, tends to curl up into a ball when alarmed and has these spikes that stick out.

For the over 45 crowd, coelocanth(sp?).
I'm thinking it would be best to allow people to vote for what type of fish they think you are, rather than letting you choose for yourself.

| Pick Your Fish Type. Posted: 3/13/2007 9:47:17 PM | My observation is that "PlentyOfFish is a good name for a date search website. Anything fishy beyond that, in my opinion, starts to give a little childish image to the site and"dehumanizes" the nature of who we are. We are no animals. I do not feel like to associate myself to any type of fish.
Unless, of course, you put as an option, "I am not a fish" fish type.

IS THE SHARK.
I ADORE SHARKS. AND ABHOR THEIR KILLING.
I also love dolphins and have spent early mornings in the Indian Ocean swimming with them and surfing alongside. Truly both are great creatures mother nature has bestowed upon the earth.

| Pick Your Fish Type. Posted: 3/13/2007 9:58:07 PM | | FYI Admin: Dolphins are mammals, not fish. That goes for whales and porpoises too, just in case you were thinking of adding them. | |

I'm thinking it would be best to allow people to vote for what type of fish they think you are, rather than letting you choose for yourself. I like this idea. I'd love to see what folks would peg me as.
My observation is that "PlentyOfFish is a good name for a date search website. Anything fishy beyond that, in my opinion, starts to give a little childish image to the site and"dehumanizes" the nature of who we are. Spirit of fun, brother. Although, leaving it blank as an option, works, too.

| Pick Your Fish Type. Posted: 3/13/2007 9:59:00 PM | It won't let me go back to no choice, so I guess I'll remain as a barnacle for a while. *sigh* | |
