Someone might take turtle becausse they're thinking they're tough skinned almost like a shell and they can take anything, another might choose it because they see themselves as bashfull and try to hide when they're nervous, someone else might just be slow. | |

Come on peoples dont ya know sometmes change is good otherwise if all stays the same all the time people lose interest. Admin. sure got your attention and perked it up even if for a short period of time. Amazing how quick panic can set in. Adjust, change is good keeps you on your toes.   | |

I went up the list and put my cursor on Octopus, then I read down the list. It kinda goes with my work, I need more arms and 'hands'. Also, I got the visual of lots of arms for hugging. And, 'O' is middle of the road selection. LOL
Eel just doesn't look right. I suppose I have never capitalized eel in my life !
And since I am not gettin any, Octopussy comes to mind.  | |

Posted: 3/14/2007 5:26:50 AM | okay, that just bites....i went to check it out on my profile to see the list. i wanted to find out what the meanings for the personality is behind each of the fish and came back in here to see is there was any mention with how to find out exactly what kind of fish i would be. i didn't see anything that would help me so i went back in just to put any fish in there and "poof" it's gone. i want it back  i want to put an angel fish in there since that's pretty much my favorite fish.
how do i get it back and how do i find out the meanings behind all of the fish?  | |

Good intentions but essentially meaningless when the vast majority will select the same option - it loses something.
I just don't see how this enhances the profile - if it's meant to be a cute opton, I guess it's OK, but since the same fish over and over again will be selected, it doesn't rank on my list of important features.
If you could type in a 100 character description NEXT to your fish then it has some weight to it. And an option to create your own anime fish that would appear near the top of your profile would be neat too. | |

Anyhow, here is my reasoning:
I don't think that it adds anything to my profile. I would be more inclined to pick a "fish" (a few of those aren't actually fish) that I like rather than something that represents me. (I think that it is difficult to represent myself this way anyhow.)
I agree with what someone above said... if this gets implemented it would be nice if there were descriptions of the individual fish traits. (Again, look at the "What are you here for?" and "Body type" descriptors... vague questions limit discourse.)
I noticed that several people (who probably voted yes) said "Neat!" or "what a cute idea!"
I agree with them: it is neat and cute... but I don't see how it helps my profile be any more effective than it is, and I could see ways that it would make it more confusing. | |

Posted: 3/14/2007 6:09:19 AM | I think it is so adorable. I mean people describe themselves so many ways in a profile and this is just another word that makes you know how one feels about them self. Im so like a dolphin always jumping in and out of things and im funny and make cute sounds. lol Doplphins also travel in pairs and swim with other dolphins. NOw i do have a new boyfreind but am looking for freinds such as other dolphins or ocean critters to go drink with and double date too! Happy Fishing, and remeber after a date theres always catch or release!! | |
