huhknee, I bet if you change the way you fix your hair ,you will look different in person than what you do in your pictures. I checked your pictures and you are a very attractive lady,but a couple of pictures you have uploaded are very dark and the darkness hides your face.
Someone else told me that a couple of my pics look dark. I didn't realize because they looked fine on my screen. I also noticed that when the pics are uploaded they seem to lose quite a bit of quality. I think the reason the guys I have met said I look like my pics is because if I am interested in someone I will send the same pics via email so they are clearer and usually larger. Plus, I will send other pics I have taken.
Also, about webcams, I had viewed the webcam of one of the guys I had met. What I didn't think about at the time was the fact that he didn't show his whole head. Believe me, that CAN make a difference. Just another newby learning experience. I will have to be more specific next time - Show your entire head but not too far away and TAKE OFF THAT HAT.  | |

However, those who post pics that someone else looking to meet them couldn't rely on to recognize them in a crowd is deceptive advertising. My photos are not as recent as I'd like them to be, but they are accurate for such purposes. I'm not here to deceive anyone, including myself, for who I am ...and what I may feel for whatever. | |

huhknee,I have to lie about my weight and height ,otherwise my mail would be overflowing. I'm only 3'9" in height and 249 weight....
Rare,if I post my picture you sure won't get any dates. I have felt sorry for you so long ,I reasoned within myself not to be selfish. Now you know why my picture is not presently viewable.

My real pictures are on my profile. Anyone wanting to see them is more than welcome to go look. I like my angel I have here in the forums, it's how I feel in my heart.
Once again the weight issue has come into a conversation. I list im a BBW. I do NOT want any surprises. I go out of my way to be sure a man who says he's interested has looked at my profile and seen my pics. Im working on losing weight, I just havent found the correct solution yet. I will. If a man likes my heart, my mind, and my soul, he had better get his card in for the "dance" now, because once my boy catches up ( or would that be down??) I won't be available for long. *big smiles*

You ought t bring your camera to the New Braunsfield Bash. I'm not going to that. But will be going down the river on the same weekend. so bound to bump into POF folks. You and the other POF ladies could snap some pictures of alot of POF folks wiping out on the rapids. And tease us and blackmail us afterwards.

I am not very photogenic. There are many people that are simply not very good at taking pics. Not too long ago i met a guy from POF that looked pretty average and in his pics he was really dressed down in sweats.
I wanted to meet him because his profile was witty, made me laugh and when we spoke via IM and later phone he seemed intelligent and kind.
So i was curious to meet him but wasn't expecting much by way of attraction.
As i was walking up to the tavern there were two guys standing outside waiting for someone. I noticed the one standing away from the door was absolutely beautiful but I kept on walking by him. Until he stopped me. Turns out he was the POF guy.
Looked NOTHING like his pic! Moreover, he was dressed upscale and drove a really expensive car. lol. Needless to say I was in shock.
There's a lesson to be learned here. Don't always judge a person based on pics alone. | |

No one looks EXACTLY like their picture. We all choose a picture that is flattering. I try to get way back, so the wrinkles don't show.
I think it is foolish to post old pictures..I mean are people hoping that their personality will cover up the fact that they lied?

You wouldn't show up at an interview in shorts and a t-shirt. My understanding "Dating is just another word for interview" Van Wilder (write that down). I also note that I am athletic so I post recent pics of being athletic. It's hard to take pictures while your rock climbing <<<< that was a joke.

Posted: 3/27/2007 9:17:04 PM | I have kind of a range from 6 months to 4 yrs on mine. Come to think about it 4yrs is a little long, but I haven't changed much so its not inaccurate. I am 5'11 and about 125-135lbs, I have been surprised by women on this site, and others. Some of these women must have pics of their friends or many years ago, or something because I have been shocked with another 100lbs or so twice.
I mean, one of them I actually liked and probably could have gotten over it. We had over 70 emails and a few hours on the phone. But she went kind of crazy thinking I was judging her compared to the pics. | |
