And I will vouch for Huhknee.. she looks 100x better in person then in her pics!!
And there are a few others I can vouch for too!!

I am tired of so many guys looking at my pic who are just not in the running as much as I try to think they are. If someone bothers to read my profile then they are probably not as shallow and looking for a real relationship. Looks are secondary. Let's see how many views I get now. | |

Posted: 3/28/2007 11:09:46 AM | Other than the fact I need a haircut and a shave (I am really starting to look like my Scarborough Fair Pic from last year) my other pics are within the last two years. If I was currently looking I would probably keep them more up to date, but don't see the need right now.
Back when I was meeting people from the internet (other dating sites, never this one) I had the mixed bag of results, there were the ones that looked like their pics, the ones who looked better, and the ones that were 10 years and or 100 lbs off from their pics.

Hmmmm, i think its best 2 try like at least 3 pix with 1 being a full body shot & the 3 all at different times. Allows 4 variety. N GUYS- STOP WITH B-BALL CAPS, Cowboy hats, Hoodies, & stuff that covers yer dome. We wanna c whats goin on up there! Capiche? | |

Posted: 3/28/2007 3:33:58 PM | OMG!!! A friend of mine JUST called to tell me that she met a guy for lunch offa here. She saw his picture which HAD to have been from when he was doing good and looked younger and handsome. When she saw him , as she and her girlfriend approached him, she wanted to burn rubber! He was filthy, stunk, and looked like he had come out of the wilderness. And then he had the audacity to want her to call him later! She asked him where was his car...he had no car...when it came time to order thier meals...he just had a soda...he had no money fo the meal!!! HE was the one who invited HER out! She said he smelled so bad that she got sick, and couldnt even eat. Im sure there wont be another "date". But the idea that this man actually thought it was okay to come to a meeting as he did, and assume that there would be a second go 'round. I laughed so hard and told her that she is going to learn her lesson about meeting people from POF! LMAO!!!!  | |

I guess the moral of the story is screen, screen, screen. Talk on phone first to see if the voice and conversation sound normal. A phone call can reveal alot. It may not rule out 100% though...lol

I arrange my hair different all the time. Ha ha its not a helmet.
Animated in person a lot of people look different .
Not everyone takes a decent photo.
But many people post old pictures or they are too dark,
They have more pounds now, less hair..no hair... older.
or far away to really get a sense of whom they are.
Pictures on a dating profile is part of you're personal ad..its just that
a Advertisement representing who you are.
A man wrote me here last week on POF wanted to meet..
I need more that a couple emails to decide if I'm interested enough in
going forward.
When asked to see his photo & called me shallow because I wanted to see who he was,
We need to see the real person , not fake images... how can you meet someone
when you have no idea what they look like or who they are, what a risk.

All I'm saying is the choices don't leave you room to show who you really are and that I'm not trying to fool anyone into thinking I'm anything I'm not. My picture is as current as possible too. | |

Posted: 3/31/2007 8:50:34 PM | It has been my experience that most of the men I have met resemble their picture. Some for the better some for the worse... I on the other hand try to keep my photos current so I purchased a digi cam. But, as with any woman we have diffrent looks for diffrent occasions. I try to show diffrent pics of my diffrent looks. for example bad hair days and lazy ball cap days. I have had all the same results when I meet a person from the web, I have been told by everyone that I look 100 percent better in person and I should change my weight description from a few extra pounds to average.. Well to me.. I have a few extra pounds but, as I have been told a few extra pounds on POF means very large. I just never want to decieve anyone and If I misrepresent my self for the worse and I'm better in person most are pleasently surprised and not disappointed. Wish men thought that way!
