| Line up's at Tim's Posted: 4/16/2007 2:53:17 PM | The line ups have normalized again this week at tims here in Sudbury, but two weeks ago, wow. It was insane! you'd think they'd announced a coffee shortage or something, the line ups were way, way longer than usual and lasted longer than usual too (for example, on a day when at 10-11am the morning rush should have been done, there was still a ton of cars!) and it was to the point where even my friend who doesn't usually go to Tim's noticed the lines were longer when she drove past hers. And it's not like we have a shortage of them here, on my way to work there's two of them within a 30 second drive of each other (one on each side of a busy highway! LOL). I mean, I always expect a bit of a wait but this was unusual.
As for people making large orders, I have to say I'm with the people who say they should go inside, except of course in certain situations like the disabled person or family in car example. If I'm ordering more than a coffee and something quick (like those breakfast sandwiches I swear they put something in those eggs! soooo yummy) then I go inside. It's just easier on the drive-thru cuz people want to be fast.
I've only ever been honked at once in a drive-thru but it wasn't cuz of the wait, it was a nice person behind me getting my attention to tell me my tire was going flat! Helpful honking is a good thing. :)
