Im sorry for those who had thought they found someone and it turned ugly.That happens all too often.But if you think about it, its for the best.The person was not right for you in the long run.Yoy dont want to get stuck with someone who will boar you for the rest of you life.We each deserve respect and a loving person or persons to spend life with.(friends, boyfriends, girlfriends etc)
So happy for all of you whove found that person who makes you happy.It changes your life whether you se it or not.My man and i see all sorts of nice improvements in a few things.

I have never felt such an unexplainable love that Gary and I share. There are not enough words to express my love for Him. The feeling is so overwhelming that a moment without Him is like a Life time with out the sun.
Gary and I knew our friendship would grow right from the very first day we spoke. I Don't think either one of us ever thought the love we both feel was possiable ever!! It has grown into a beautiful relationship that only he and I can understand. Even when were not together, we are never apart. He is my soul mate, my best friend, my inspiration, my love.   | |

met my soulmate on here, we were together awhile, and due to some unfortunate circumstances we are apart, and the hurt is still there....and maybe someday somewhere we will be together again...!

Posted: 3/23/2007 10:36:44 AM | I'd say it's next to impossible to find your 'soulmate' here,or online in general.The trouble is that when online,people put forward a better version of themselves,they tend to accentuate their positives and gloss over the negatives.Coupled with that is the problem of communicating online.I've lost count of the number of times something I've typed to someone has been misconstrued,we normally rely on visual feedback of facial expressions and body language in the general course of things,of course we can't online.
I'm probably cynical but I think looking for a 'soulmate' is a futile exercise,at best we might find someone we can enjoy the company of for some time,before the wheels inevitably drop off!

I've met my soulmate numerous times over the years. She never quite looks the same, has the same name nor does she always act the same. She's lived in many of the same places as I have.
Now.... if I could just figure out how to keep her from kicking me to the curb when the other guys come around....

This is just a tool to meet them, then get out and meet face to face, have time together and grow with each other. Gary emailed me... we spoke on the phone that night and then 3 days later we met. We have been going strong ever since. I did keep my profile up but it is changed and tells about meeting him, as does his. I am here for the forums now and the friends I have made. Gary and I now spend every moment we can together with each other and our children.

It was July 6, 1964 and I was 20 and a junior in college. I lived in a two-family house downstairs from my grandparents. On mornings when I had late classes I would spend time with my grandmother reading the newspaper and drinking coffee. This particularly morning the newspaper reported a story about a horrific accident on the night of July 4th.
A family had been leaving a fireworks show in a town about 50 miles away and while crossing a railroad track the Father, Mother and Aunt had been hit by a passing train. The Father and Aunt were killed instantly and the Mother was seriously injured. The worst part was this had happened in front of two girls 9 and 16 years old. I was horrified by this accident and all I could think of was, “Who would take care of these children?” This tragedy affected me deeply and I carried the horror of it my entire life as an example of how your life can be changed in an instant with absolutely no warning.
My life continued and I finished college, entered the military, met a woman, we married, had children and after about 25 years of marriage divorced amicably. I was then single again and attended a divorce support group where I met another woman and we began dating.
I knew her parents were deceased, but didn’t find out how for about six months and after we were in a relationship. You guessed it. She had been the 9 year old girl and I was now I was the one “taking care of her” and she was “taking care of me”, as well. We married after 4 years together and had 10 wonderful years of marriage, but she died last year at 51. Tragic, yes, but those 14 years with my soul mate were absolutely wonderful.
Our connection was unbelievable to the point that at times I would be thinking about calling her and the phone would ring. It was her calling to see if I “needed her for something”.
It may be selfish, but my quest now is to find a second soul mate. I so hope that is possible. | |

i found that during my search here, yes there were the liars and so called bull feeders.but there were also a few really good honest men.some of whom i stil talk to.we bonded on a friendship level.i know honest people are hard to find.i once read in a forum here that this guy did not message this one girl cause he thought she was too pretty to consider him.well a few weeks later she messaged him and now they are married.so dont hesitate.its worth the try.and dont get discouraged..
people do tend to make it out like they are much better than they are in real life when they are online.i know this, but maybe its because they are afraid of criticism of others not liking the REAL them.so i think its ok that happens.somthimes its a bit too over the top tho.ive seen some outrageous postings on here.i find to really get the sence of better knowing someone on the net is if they have a cam.then you can see them and how they are on the cam.makes things a little easier.im sure weve all had the dates we wish never hapened.

... Do you REALLY believe that there exists A (as in ONE) soulmate?
I think it's a load of crap and I'd say the evidence is on my side.
Either that, or my definition of what a soulmate is is different than your's and everyone else's. | |
